The pictures were done by whoever the resort uses in our wedding package.  We actually found the cake topper on a website off of Amazon.com

Wow.... everyone's pictures are AMAZING!  You all look so happy and so good!!!

My finace, Ryan and I leave a week from today for our May 25th wedding at the Sapphire.  I am sooooooo excited!

We are doing the Beach Terrace for everything... and by the looks of all of your pictures, I think we made the right choice!

One quick question for any of you....

Do you need to bring an electric plug adapter?  I have stayed at other resorts in Riviera Maya, and we had to have an adapter to curl your hair, plug in your MP3 Player, etc.  Do you need that for this resort?

This forum is wonderful... thanks for all of your help with planning.  I would normally be nervous about having my wedding at a place I had never been before, but because of all of your help.... I haven't "freaked out" yet!

Thanks!

Heather Violet

No adapter is needed.  I was able to easily charge my ipad and iphone.

I did both my hair and makeup at the resort spa (I used what was included in the Divine package).  They were absolutely wonderful!!! I have not received my pictures yet, which is why I have not posted them yet.  Here's a picture I do have where you can see my hair and makeup.

Hello Everyone! So my fiance and I decided on our 4.27.13 for our wedding a little while ago, but we hadn't actually "reserved" the date. I e-mailed Anel (4/27) with a question about moving forward with the booking process and I never heard back, so I e-mailed Ramon (5/7) and I haven't heard back from him either!!!!!!!

Is this the norm?? Not hearing back for weeks? And does anybody have any suggestions on how to get in touch with the wedding coordinators?

I am getting married on 4/8/13 we chose the devine package and are having the reception and cocktail hour at the tequilla terrece. I believe our ceremony will be there also.

What have you chose? Are you having a Dj or paying for a dance floor, centerpieces or photographer?

Yay for April 2013 Sapphire Brides!! I am soooo excited (even though I just got off the phone with my mom, who flat out said she wasn't excited about the fact that we are getting married in Mexico, and that we should be having a "proper" wedding back home in MA - grrrrrrrrrrrr).

Anyway, we are also having the reception at the tequila terrace with the ceremony on the beach right in front of the tequila terrace. We decided that we are going to do the cocktail reception the night before the wedding, as kind of a Welcome Party, and we'll use the photographer included in the package that night as well. We aren't going to have a DJ or a dance floor -- just an iPod and then we'll go to the bar/dance club? at the hotel after. But we are going to use an outside photographer, right now we are pretty sure we are going to go with Adrian from Victor Herrera Photography. As far as centerpieces go I don't really have a clue!! I think it is all going to depend on how many people end up coming, because if the group is small enough I think I want to do one long table.

Are you going to be using a travel agent?? I am still on the fence, but leaning towards yes..........................................

Yes it is definitely normal.  We were there two weeks ago and they are so busy right now. They typically concentrate on the weddings that are coming up.  If I was you I would just comment on their Facebook Wall that you are waiting to hear if your wedding date is available and then you usually get a response.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
