Thanks Sandy for all of your help! We booked the tequila terrace, so I have already made it clear no heels. Hopefully the girls listen to me. Question for you. We were thinking of placing a bunch of tea lights on the table for the reception for ambience. Do you think they will stay lit, or is too windy? I know I can purchase the led candles, but I just don't like them as much as the real thing.

Although the real candles looks soooo pretty I highly suggest take battery candles with you , wind never let the candles lighted :(........for decoration I suggest use battery candles...in both locations Tequila Terrace or Beach Terrace is windy .

Hey guys,

Thought I'd join in.  I'm also thinking about Now Sapphire for my Hindu wedding in 2013.  I went with a TA from Destinationwedding.com.  I'm so frustrated with their lack of communication.  I'm so glad that I found this site.  It's been more useful, so many ideas!

Was just wondering what some of your reasons for choosing this resort are.  I like the fact that they do private receptions and doesn't seem like other resorts do, or maybe at a totally outragious price.Would love to hear your thoughts:)

I chose NOW Sapphire for a variety of reasons. I like that their wedding package is "all inclusive" and that they're not trying to nickel and dime you (like some other resorts). I like that the price for the stay is reasonable for my guests, it's family friendly and it's a medium size resort, so I will be able to spend more time with/see more of my guests.

Sandy-

I know they know how to "Nickel and Dime" you for flowers at the resort.  Do you have an suggestions on outside flower vendors?  Anyone that is more reasonable than $350 for a bouquet?  I know there are vendor fees.... but if you would go into town, or meet the florist at the gate, would the resort still charge that vendor fee?  Just trying to find better ways to save money on flowers.  Thanks!

Dear Heather :  Yes , you are right ...If the florist drop directly to  YOU the flowers, it should NOT be a problem, if the centerpieces need to be "set" they may charge you for a vendor fee , but BELIEVE me even paying that vendor fee you would save a lot.

I work with a floral designer  that only work for events and give very good pricing and  I love their flowers because they are good quality . Please feel free to email me sandy@ultimatemexicoweddings.com some of your bouquets and I can get a quotation for you.He is not  englsih speaker  , he usually is "backstage" for that reason,

He gives good prices and good design. He studied many years in Mexico City . Iam so Lucky to have him.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
