Hey Ladies,

We are putting together our webinar schedule for BDW.  These webinars are great because not only can you get YOUR questions answered but also hear answers to questions from other brides that you may not have even though of :)

Webinars are a great way to not only hear directly from the wedding department but see the wedding packages that they offer, ceremony/reception pics, etc.

I try to only limit the webinars to once every 2 weeks so we of course can not do all resorts.

Please vote on which resorts you would like to have webinars on...you can choose more than 1.

Hi Vanessa56,

Yes I have had contact with the coordinator at the resort.  I had to change my ceremony time and I had a question about the wedding info document that they sent me.  Anel was very quick to respond to me and she was a great help.

How is your planning going??

It sounds like Anel has been pretty easy to work with.  I haven't had any contact with her as of yet.  My travel agent has done all of that for me.  I am starting a list of questions for Anel though that I will email closer to our wedding date in May.

Do they have some decorations for the isle?  Are any of you using anything like that, or keeping it simple with what they provide?

Usually when I email Anel i get together a list of questions and it'll take her about 2 weeks to get back to me, at first I was frustrated with that but now I just don't expect a quick answer!

I think they do have stuff for the aisle but i'm going to bring my own stuff down-flower petals, stuff to hang on the aisle seats. it'll defiitely save money bringing my own stuff

Anel's been kind of a hit and miss for me.  She'll normally replies in a timely manner, but if I answer multiple questions sometimes she only answers one question at a time.  So I've had to ask the same question in a couple emails and it eventually gets answered.

I'm trying to keep the stuff I bring down to just one suitcase of wedding itemsmsnwink.gif  My fiance keeps telling me we should let them take care of everything, I just like to save money more than him:)

Anel has also been hit and miss for me.  I have a few big questions that are outstanding, especially regarding the photographer.  Since I leave on Sunday, I've decided that I will just wait it out and talk about it once we're there.  My general feeling right now is, "everything will work out in the end"

Does anyone have a copy of the planning form that they could send me?

Also, what additional costs did you have outside of the package price?  I'm curious how much additional people are spending and where.  LOL, I've never gotten married before but it seems like the packages are pretty all-inclusive.  I'm assuming though that it's not so cut and dry.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
