I am! We just tried to get something different at every stage. two hot and two cold apps, we did chicken and beef apps and fish for dinner. That way we can try a little of everything. Also if you have a large portion of people who are allergic to fish or something it might be easier to go with the chicken or beef. Thats really the only thought I put into it. I can't go down and sample the food so its pretty much a guessing game. I'm hoping the atmosphere will be what people remember!

I visited the Now Sapphire in the beginning of June.  My Fiance and I were there celebrating an anniversary so we got a private dinner on the beach.  The hotel photographer took pictures of us.  We viewed the pictures, and personally, I did not like any of them.  I felt that the pictures we took ourselves were better.  I was not impressed and for my wedding, we are hiring La Luna photography.  I like the photojournalistic approach though, and she did not seem to do that.  It may just be my personal preference.

Hey Vanessa56,

I am using the hotel photographer since I am getting the Divine Package and it comes with it.  My sister is a photographer and she will be attending my wedding there so she will be doing candid shots throughout the week and during the reception.  I will mainly use the hotel photographer for the ceremony.  I have seen some of their pics and I thought they were nice.  I guess it depends on your budget and what you expect out of the quanity of photos taken.

Ladies, Thanks so much for the feedback. We're trying to do the wedding on a tight budget, so the feedback is very helpful. We are also going with the Divine package, so we were considering using the hotel photographer to save some money. I guess we'll have to wait to see how many people are coming or work a photographer into the budget otherwise. I have also heard good things about La Luna photographers from some of the other ladies on the board.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
