me again :) How many cartridges of color ink did you go through for your invites? Im trying to figure out the cost for these & it seems they will end up being a small fortune...I'm sending the passport invites to all 100 guests (even though I know a max. of 30ish will attend the DW) lol...

I wanted to do pink metallic covers to go with our wedding colours, but Im having such a hard time finding metallic cardstock in Canada & the states charge so much $$ for shipping....I called a couple of print shops who said they wouldn't print the covers on metallic cardstock :( ...which printshop did you go to? also, did you use a corner cutter for the edges...

As for the paper I used papercircle.ca They are a canadian company and their prices are fantastic! They were so great to work with and shipped really quickly. I checked and they do have pink metallic cardstock.

We used 1 cartridge of ink and we did 50 invites. We have an HP inkjet printer. As for cost it actually is pretty decent. In order to make our invites we used one half piece of metallic cardstock to make the cover. One piece costs $0.38 so half is $0.19. We only used one sheet of paper to make the inside pages as you cut it in half and print on both sides. Cost of one sheet of metallic paper was $0.28. We bought the ribbon from the dollar store and we used only 2 rolls total for 50 invites.

I'm not even sure of the name of the printshop we used. My FI took them to a place near his work. There should be someone who can do them for you. It wasn't very expensive and they printed, cut and folded them for us. We did use a corner cutter on them, which I borrowed from my sister.

My last piece of advice would be that if I were to do it again though I wouldn't use the ribbon because it ended up being too thick and we had to put extra postage on them. So I would just use staples and then you would only need one stamp to send them out.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask!

I attached my template as I know templates sure helped me when I was making mine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
