Gifts for the parents?

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

Is anyone buying gifts for the parents, just a a Thank you for all you do type thing? Our wedding is sort of turning into a starfish themed wedding, and so i found these really cute starfish necklaces in Etsy, and i bought them for my Fiance's Mom, and one for my Mom. My Dad collects pocket watches, but i can't seem to find a pocket watch with a starfish or anything close to... i have googled and searched everywhere.. and i have had no luck. What would be another appropriate but special gift i could get for him? ( or does anyone know where i could find a starfish pocket watch.. hehehe)

Or is anyone doing this at all??

Anyway your help and guidance would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!

How about attaching a starfish to a pocketwatch?  I'm not very crafty but I don't see how you couldn't glue one on the front.  Or how about taking a pocketwatch to a watch specialist and have them replace the face with a starfish logo face?  Or engrave a starfish with your message onto a pocketwatch?

I found really nice starfish necklaces on eBay, and I bought them for all my bridesmaids, my MOH, my mom and my future mother in law, and me!

For my Dad and for his Mother, we are thinking of having little plaques with a photo (like me+dad on mine and him+his mom on his) with some lyrics from Because you Loved Me, which is the song we're going to do the father/daughter dance to and present them after that dance after saying thank you for being such a special part of our lives and bringing us up like this, etc... like a get your kleenex out sorta moment rolleyes.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
