Atlantis bride question

Hello!  My FI and I just started planning our Bahamas wedding for June 2012.  I recieved catering information from Atlantis but I wondered if anyone can share some estimates on room rates for wedding guests.  I love the idea of staying there but cannot ask my friends and family to spend 400 per night for a hotel with such a poor economy. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Welcome and congratulations!  The Atlantis room rates vary depending on season (ie holiday weekends are more) but generally speaking as long as you have 30 nights total in your party then the group rates are roughly 50% off the quoted prices.  They give a discount for all towers so it makes it very convenient for your guests - some will want to splurge and some will want to budget.  Our guests were totally surpirsed what a good deal it was and many extended their stay.  It's a great place for a wedding and I found them very accommodating.  Now, other than the room rates, its super expensive, but at least your guests don't feel that.

Lanajoy,

She's right different towers are different price ranges and you can have some guests stau at the Comfort Suites nearby and they will gain access to almost everything at Atlantis for free... also some of your guests can stay in Nassau (just over the bridge) for much cheaper if needed. It's not cheap at all but it's a beautiful place. You could always plan a trip for your party to go visit the casino, aquarium and cave together (which are no charge). Going to Atlantis is kinda a must see- most tour guides will take you there anyway :) Hope this helps - congrats and welcome!

Congratulations! Atlantis has different room rates, you can also ask for a group discount--- usually they give it if you book 10 rooms. Atlantis also have a free shuttle going to one and only beach club. If you want to have an amazing dinner this is the place you need to go... In here you can see the cloisters and this is where James bond 007 casino royale was filmed.

I shot a wedding at the One and Only beach club and this place is breathtaking!!!!!!

Happy planning!

I get soo excited when I see threads about Atlantis(even if their older)... lol... But I do love hearing how amazing Atlantis and the Cloisters are!! It makes me soo excited about our choices.. :o)  And I love, LOVE, how Atlantis offers group rates for 1/2 the price of their normal rates.

I wish some future Atlantis/Cloister brides would come forward so that we can share our excitements and planning details together..

Hi Angbob, congratulations! We are doing the "Simply Love" package, but upgraded the day/time so we could have the reception and ceremony later in the day on a Saturday. For vendors, Tim Alleyn is our photographer, thats about it so far! How about you?

Hello & Congrats ladies!  Itâ€s good to see more Atlantis brides here.  LissMiss, we must think alike.  We also choose the “Simply Love†package and did the Premium site upgrade.  Which sites did you ladies choose?  Iâ€m still in the early process of planning also.  Right now Iâ€m working with Floral Arts on a quote.  I must say they are lightning fast with responses.  Iâ€ll let you all know how it goes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
