I LOVE all of these photos on here, well done ladies! I definitely want to do TTD but I think I may buy a cheapy dress from David's Bridal or even online for the shoot. My actual gown is lace & silk, so I don't want to destroy it! There are so many great photographers, it's hard to pick just one!! Does anyone have experience with Caribe Photo or Matias Canos? Those are the two photographers allowed by my resort, and I haven't seen many reviews on them so far. It would be of great help!

from the viewpoint of a photographer, a TTD is amazing because there are no limitations to taking amazing photos of you. If you are a little weary on the idea of ruining your dress (which doesn't necessarily need to be permanent but getting wet, dirty, etc) you can still do a day after session for my relaxed private intimate photos without the stress of a wedding day and pressure of guests lingering. It's a nice time to just simply enjoy being with your new spouse! And for a photographer, it's the perfect time to really get all those must-have shots you may not have been able to get the day before due to all those factors! PLUS, if you're ceremony is at the hottest of the hot times of day (which I have dealt with) you have the luxury of choosing the coolest time, either sunrise or sunset for your photos, and all the freedom is yours, possibilities are endless!!

One of my new "favorite images of the week" all in support of doing a del Sol Mermaid Trash the Dress...

My thoughts are that now, more than ever, we are so excited that we can play with the art form that is bride + underwater... My imagination goes crazy and literally these are some of the most fun images to make.   Taking applications.

Any diver brides want to play with us?

Interesting how fast people can start hating on something even though they don't fully understand it and in the end, the bride will do what they want to do anyway.   We don't look at this as destructive nor do we think its a "waste"...  thanks for the support of the movement, and no problem about your dress, its often common.   What we see is that most of our clients end up with a second gown (not necessarily for a wedding occasion)... they are so many options out there.  Keep your mind open if your in love with the concept...

For example, Susan purchased a 2nd hand wedding dress for $75.  It wasn't actually the right size and some of the underwater was challenging...at one point, she was just over it and wanted to SWIM out of the dress (she was covered with nude colored undies).  The dress then started to float upright and gave us the chance to create an EPIC photo, just being at the right place at the right time....

I have to say that no matter the photo that comes from you guys I am always amazed, especially at the underwater photoshoots. With that said I wanted to know if you would be able to post some TTD on the beach. The cenote ones are breathtaking, I'm currently booked with you guys doing a beach TTD and I wanted to see ideas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
