Hello Brides!

I am considering a "trash the dress" session with our photographer? I love the idea of taking pictures in that beautiful turquoise ocean but DO NOT WANT TO RUIN my gown! I am starting to consider a second dress (nothing too expensive) that I would change into after the ceremony, dinner and toast is done...I was thinking I can wear the second gown (of course a lighter fabric) when we are ready to party and dance the night away and then wear it the next day to do the "trash the dress" session...any thoughts on a second gown? I love my wedding gown so much that I just don't think I can "trash" it!

Thoughts/suggestions???

Trash the Dress pics almost never actually "trash" the dress... most report that they end up cleaner than they were on the beach before! You can actually trash it if you want, but if you communicate to your photographer that you are worried about it, they will help you be careful. There is no greater chance of it getting wrecked during the TTD than during the wedding day itself.

Yea I agree. Do you think it would still take away from it if I bought a different dress (there's a few simple j. Crew ones I like) and used that and that way he wouldn't know what my real dress will look like.
No, it won't take away from the shoot. That's what I'm going to do during mine.

Hello beautiful brides to be! We've had some AMAZING mermaid brides with us, I wanted to share a couple of shoots with you.

Number one is Adriana, she brought not one, but TWO Vera Wang gowns for her cenote TTD, one black, one white. Phenomenal couple, such fun to work with them! Click the link see the whole cenote trash the dress shoot!

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

The second shoot is with the gorgeous Maricelle (fabulous member of BDWF mikeycelle who was kind enough to share this review of Del Sol Photography!) Maricelle chose to bring a second dress for the shoot instead of using the real deal wedding gown. She looks amazing, what fun it was to work with her and Michael! Full cenote trash the dress slideshow!

My wedding dress was trashed more on my wedding day than the TTD session the next day. By the end of the wedding night I had a big whole ripped in the lace of my dress by my feet and the bottom was muddy from the wet sand. The TTD totally cleaned my dress. The hole is still there sadly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
