So doing the TTD... love love love it... and it's probably one of the main reason why we are doing an DW... I want pics in my dress in the middle of the ocean :)

And you can say that you did wear your wedding dress twice lol...

@ mochamakes3: the last pic with the rain is incredible... the best TTD pic I've seen... so now... I want some rain just for 5 mins :P

Depends on what your dress is made of. Mine is mostly tulle, so it never got "wet" in the ordinary sense of the word. I hung it on the balcony for a few hours before we left and it was mostly dry.

Your session was beautiful! I'm still waiting on our photos. I got the video, but I'm gonna hold off on sharing it until after our AHR. I am TOO excited!!! Congrats!

The day of our wedding it probably got trashed more from dragging the train through the sand and across the grass. We started the shoot in the later afternoon when the pool was starting to empty, but it was fun to shock people by jumping in while dressed up! By the time we were finishing our shoot, it started to rain (the only day) and it worked out fabulous.

A couple of weeks after we got home, I turned my dress inside out and washed in on the delicate cycle. It took a couple of tries because it was stained by clay (from the wedding day) and a lot of oxy clean, but it looks great now.

Here's the link to our photographer's blog about the session:

I'd almost be tempted to do another one where I complete trash the dress beyond recognition.

Thanks so much ladies! It worked out perfectly that it was sunny when we started, a little overcast while in the ocean, and finally the only rain of our whole trip. The only thing that didn't work out was our underwater shots with our personal camera :( But everything that our photographers did was wonderful.

I love your pictures, they are beautiful. I was going back and forth on the TTD, but I am definitely going to do it now. I think these pictures are nicer than some of the regular wedding photos!  I will just use my dress as well rather than buying one just for TTD.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
