My "female surgery" incisions won't heal for 6 weeks total and long periods in the water slow healing and re- open wounds and tons of bacteria in mexico.

After I calmed down a little I feel OK about going and having a great time with the kids and family- there will still be a ton to do. We will be at teh wedding hotel for 1 week...

Thanks!!

FYI: I still havent done welcome letter, OOT bag iron on's, vows, sand ceremony stuff, pretty much everything.. too many drugs cloud my head sad.gif
My 8 year old is my bridesmaid so - no help :)
Andrea - I think your postpone the honeymoon is a great idea! Right now you can go down there and really enjoy the time with friends, family and your new husband. Trust me - there will be SO much going on that you will barely notice not being able to swim! Plus there's tons of fun stuff that you can do instead.

And this will give you a great excuse and the extra money to take a second trip in Feb. as your honeymoon!

One last thing - you don't HAVE to do all the extras - like iron ons for the OOT bags, or OOT bags at all! Simplify your plans if need be - it will still be an amazing, beautiful and fun wedding. I know a lot of us ladies have done Welcome Letters as well so we could send them to you if you want to just steal the letter and update the info! The most important thing is that you take the best care of yourself - and have a wonderful time in Mexico!

Definitely go now and then take your diving trip when all is well. Like Christine and Kash said, I am also willing to help in any way I can. And don't stress over the small stuff if it is too much to handle right now. Most people don't even know what OOT bags are so if they don't get one they won't miss it. Let us know what we can do from afar :o)

Why cancel your partieshuh.gif Can't you just take lots of pain pills and sit most of the time? I think you will be sad later on that you did not have them. Can you re-schedule them?

They are not warning signs, it will all work out, you will see.

As for a letter, I know other's have precedents you can use, so I will let them post them. Mine was not that great, kinda crappy really. I write too many legal letters that is sounded to professional and not fun. But, I was stressed and sent it anyway. lol

When i had surgery I went swimming before I was supposed to. Yup, my incisions got infected. It stunk. But Mexico is beautiful and I'm sure you will find SO many other things to do! Just make sure that you don't do anything too stressful on your incisions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
