Catamaran Tours -Not receptions

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

I'm trying to find a boat that we can charter for around 3 hours the week of our wedding to take our group on a little cruise/snorkeling tour. I've found one boat company but they mainly just do reception dinners. Does anyone know of a vendor I can contact? I think this would be a really fun way to bring everyone together!

I am assuming the reception boat was the Baracaza (sp?)  I will look into it and get back to you... what resort are you staying at?

Yes the only one I could find was Baracaza (sp?). They seem like a great coppmany but more geared towards dinner and dancing. I want something where we can jump on in, swim around, motor about for a little bit. It doesn't have to be anything fancy but something to bring the fmailies and friends together.

We're staying at the Dreams Palm Beach.

Thank you so much for your help!!!

I know I was looking at pictures of a wedding (I will try and find the link for you) that they did what looked like an afternoon (could have been early evening, was still light out) on baracaza boat for their dinner and reception BUT all the guests brought their swim suits and everyone jumped in the water and went for a swim.  They obviously wouldn't have provided snorkel equipment but you could maybe talk to them and see, I am sure they could arrange something for you.  Even the bride and groom went for a swim, it just seemed like a great low key way to enjoy the amazing place you are in while having a meal and dancing as well.

I have booked La Bacarazza (sp?) for my guests following my wedding day. I customized it to what I want. I even added on hours. Part of my bookings is I want people to be able to get off the boat and get in the water...we make two stops for swimming/water time. One is a stop at a "hot springs??" and the other is snorkling. They provide the snorkling equipment for $10 per person. You can have snacks and drinks instead of a full meal....touch base with them ....they are easy to work with.

AMAZING!!!!! This is exactly why I LOVE this forum!!!! I have heard such great things about THE BOAT (i feel bad continuously spelling it wrong lol) one of FIs team mates even had their reception there last summer.  I am so glad to hear you can do snorkelling off the boat!  The hot springs is going to be absolutely AMAZING you will love love love it and so will your guests.

I haven't talked to them but do you mind sharing some pricing?  Is it a per person charge or a flat fee for the boat rental.  Is food/drinks included?

I believe the Baracazza (sp?) is 50pp includes dinner and your bar?! I may be totally wrong here.  Definitely send them an email to see.  You could do this in the afternoon and make an excursion out of it with the snorkelling and whatnot.  Depending on how many guests and what your resort charges for dinner/drinks/reception this may be a better option.  I know it is for another bride I was talking too!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
