Such a relief - I thought I was the only one lol! I was so into it....ok....borderline obsessed....with planning (and stalking this site) when I first got engaged for the first few months. Booked the venue, got the dress, got the photographer, sent out the save the date's, and then WALL....some days it feels like it's my fun outlet after a long day of work, but then some days I don't even want to think about wedding. I'm sure I'll get the mojo back too, once we have a better guest count & I can start with the favors/OOT stuff.

Thanks for starting this! :)

Wow I thought I was the only one!!! Once we were engaged it was planning planning planning, it was all I could think about... and now it`s like I have very little interest... I have tons of time with our wedding not till next April... but I`m a planner so not planning this is really weird for me! I`m glad I`m not alone in this! :) I hope we all get our mojo back soon!!!!

Well I have hit wall TWO of wedding planning.  This past weekend I was away for my best friends wedding (I was MOH) and I think coming back from her "traditional" wedding has put me totally on HOLD!!!

It was run here, run there, do this, do that, organize this, set up that....my entire 5 days were go go go and so so busy, I came home and basically slept for an entire day.  It did make me very happy with my DW choice but it has also made me lose interest in any wedding planning.  I used to love coming on BDW now I read posts and lose interest.  Maybe I just need a break for awhile...... Hopefully like Wall 1 my mojo comes back but at this point I am ready to pack it in and see everyone on the beach in February!

Glad I am not the only one!!!! I had my first mini bridezilla moment the other night at the airport on the way home from my best friends wedding.  FI and my flight had been delayed and then all of a sudden I got an email from my FMIL asking (for the 4th time) whether guests can wear shorts to the wedding!

I just about lost it!!!! I included on our website a special "dress code" section when she asked me whats appropriate the first time, 2 weeks ago we were visiting and his aunt asked if her partner could wear shorts as he already had them, I said "sure!" (I was just sick of discussing it), I got another email before this one from FMIL asking why I didn't say shorts on the dress code portion of the site and then THIS! I lost it in the airport.  I was like NO MORE QUESTIONS LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I turned to FI and said "I'm getting MARRIED, we're getting MARRIED!!!!! Do they not realize this?  It's on a beach but we are still getting MARRIED and I will still be walking down the aisle in my $1500 designer gown!!!!!!!"  Oh I was so frustrated!!! We are not going for a formal look, khakis, capris, linen pants or slacks with short sleeve dress shirts of even polos are JUST FINE! I didn't say shorts because I don't want swim trunks and cargo shorts in my pictures....... ughhh the frustration!!!

Anyways that is my little vent and probably the biggest reason my Mojo is MIA as I am just sick of dealing with the questions!!!!!!

I either want the wedding to be tomorrow or 4 years off at this point lol

I think as brides we go through times of wedding planning, now I have about 3 1/2 months left til the wedding and I'm really in bride mode but its for all the details now.. I got everything out of the way in the beginning (resort, TA, dress, photographer, videographer, bm dresses, grommsmen attire, rings engraved, etc) so now its just the small (time consuming) details.. you'll get your mojo back :)

I think all us brides go through this..with the wedding, the planning, the stress of it all, and then well add life in general to it and it just seems so baring .... and then you have the fact that most of us are 2012 brides which just seems so far away. But it does come back and then well it goes again, this has happened to me on several occasions what i would do is just one thing at a time make a list and put it somewhere you can see it all the time( i did this) and cross things off as you go.

This will give you the feeling of YES one less thing to do

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
