Hi Ladies!!!  I'm probably late to the post...but I too am a Le Blanc Bride-to-be!!! June 2, 2012 is the date.  I looked at other resorts and read different reviews on the forum...Le Blanc is the ONLY resort that had EVERYTHING the FI and I wanted!!!  I can't wait to share in all the planning with you guys.  I don't care to spend tons of money for one day...so hopefully we'll all be able to bounce ideas off each other.

I'm also using Wendy Hicks as my TA.  Three words: She's the best!!!! I can't say a bad thing about that woman.  She's been super helpful and even though I've gone back and forth on 50 millions resorts before choosing Le Blanc, she has been so patient the whole time. :-)  She's a joy to work with.

Let me know what you all decide about DJs and Photographers.  I've been dealing w/ Yesenia w/ Palace resorts, and even though Le Blanc's policy is said to be pretty strict regarding outside vendors, Yesenia assured me that I could bring in my own photographer and other vendors...and I'd just have to pay for their day passes.

Congrats to you all...and happy planning!!

Brittany :-)

Greetings Ladies,

I hope that all of your planning is going well.  Does anyone know the max number of guests that the Gazebo holds for a Ceremony at Le Blanc?  I'm just wondering in case we end up with more than our original estimated total.  Please chime in if you can.  Thanks!

Does anyone have any information or recommendations for entertainment for the reception?  I saw someone was thinking about fire dancers...is there a steel drum band or any other options?  I wanted to possibly do something like this during dinner (for an hour) then have a DJ for the rest of the night.

Outside vendors are not a problem, I even had Yesenia take that part out of the contract but she assured me I would just have to pay for the guest fee onto the property.

What is everyone doing for their honeymoon after? As lovely as Le Blanc is, I know most of our family and friends will be extending their vacation and I'd prefer not to be on my honeymoon with them :)

Hi Le Blanc Brides!

I'm currently in Mexico staying at Le Blanc and its been raining the entire time we have been here. :-/  I"m hoping the forecast will change but it doesnt look likely so  we are trying to make the best of our trip. But basically all of the outdoor activities, tours, and laying around on the pool or beach is definitely out of the question.  Also all the $1,500 resort credits are being wasted since we planned to use them for tours but due to the weather thats not going to happen and they only allow a max of $500 for spa treatments.

So if anyone have any questions they want me to ask the Wedding Coordinators while i'm here let me know.

Glad to have found you all and glad to hear planning is going well!!!

I just booked  DJ Mannia and La Luna Photographers for our June 2 wedding, both are amazing and La Luna is Del Sols sister company.

I am getting my invites together ( I am partially making them myself) and hoping to send out invites before thanksgiving with a mid March RSVP. I have to say I am pretty laid back bout the planning but I am a bit nervous about planning eveything at the 3 month mark and not being able to pick and confirm reception space until 3 months before the wedding makes me nervous as well...we fell in love with Le Blanc for many reasons when we visited but specifically was the area we are hoping to have for reception and the future husband and I will be heart broken if it is not available...sigh. Guess we just have to wait and hope and see if it all works out.

Happy planning to you all!!! And if there is anything anyone needs feel free to PM me.

I am also in the wedding business, I am a pastry chef and wedding cake designer so while I do not ship orders to mexico we specialize in sugar figurines and cake toppers so if any of you are looking for custom edible toppers PM me or look us up on Face book by searching EatMyTreats

FYI ---- Another bride wanted me to ask a question about the capacity of guests for a ceremony at the Gazebo.  I spoke to the Wedding Coordinator and she mentioned that for the wedding of Trish Suhr (TV personality from "Clean House") had about 100 guests maybe a little over 100 so they can definitely accommodate a large party.

Just curious to why some of the Le Blanc Brides have selected to go with DJ Mannia for DJ services over the Le Blanc DJ from PSAV or  DJ Doremixx?

I went with Mannia since the price was basically the same and their customer service and reviews were great. In discussing the event they have been responsive, detailed and helpful the Le blanc DJ never returned my first email and took about 2 weeks to reply to the next so I just felt more comfortable but I heard they are good DJS too

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
