Mrstgun's Planning Updates (Pic Heavy - FINAL Planning Post - Page 65, Post 642)

Recommended Posts

good evening, bruceg05!

ok..so about the starfish...

its pretty simple..i used wilton food coloring..you can find it in your local grocery store and/or walmart, etc.  i followed the directions on the box for dyeing easter eggs and voila...my starfish are now a beautiful shade of purple.  take a peak at post 288, page 29 for pics and details.

you'll need to take into consideration that your starfish will need to be dyed a deeper shade than usual because they will dry lighter than when they are wet...after i dyed them, i used martha stewart glitter paint to bling them out..i highly recommend it...it has just the right amount of bling in it...and its SUPER easy to use.

until next time, happy planning!!

How did you dye your starfish?  I need to dye them fuschia and pink!

Also, loved the sanddollar punch so I went and picked one up...  Is yours incredibly difficult to punch?  I'm just wondering if mine works like crap or what....

well, girls, this week is my final full week in town and i can't believe it!

i'm down to tying up loose ends, weighing luggage to ensure i don't go over the 50lbs limit (my hubby will kill me if i do)..and finishing up all of my projects...i've got two small things left to do...and i'm dying to get them done...i can't wait to post my final (after my big day) thread..and to share details on EVERYTHING i did for the wedding...i'm bursting at the seams with excitement to share details with all of you...i'm hoping everything lives up to mine and your expectations.  msnwink.gif

for those of you who want templates, etc...my templates are really big..so most exceed the limits here...if you want them...just PM me and i'll be happy to share.

before i go...i have to send another very special THANK YOU to the powers that be..my thread is still featured on the homepage..almost a month after it first appeared AND as of now, my thread is the number two most viewed planning thread of all time...WOW..i still can't believe the amount of love, fellow BDW brides have shared with me...wow!  wow!!!  wow!!!!  i can't even begin to tell you..what a truly humbling experience this whole thing is for me...so THANK YOU...

now, i'm off to get some beauty rest...until next time, happy planning!!

your post made me tear up...literally...i'm A SUPER SAP..but i have to say, i'm truly blessed to know that brides like you and so many others value my efforts.  i seriously doubt i would've had the strength to finish my DIY projects if i didn't share them with all of you...somehow, i feel like i HAVE to finish so i can have great pics to show all of ya'll when i return.

i actually do have a blog  but i haven't kept up with it..i suppose now's the time to get back at it...  cheesy.gif  i'll definitely take it up again once my big day has come and gone.  i'll be tackling ALL sorts of topics...from party planning (have a baby shower to plan when i return)..to weightloss (and the struggles involved), fashion and pop culture...i mean, i AM a multi-facted individual who loves shoes, food, the kardashians (don't judge me for this guilty pleasure...i can admit i'm seriously OBSESSED with their show) and party planning...stay tuned...  msnwink.gif

thanks, again for your lovely words..you've set me up to have a truly BLESSED thursday, love!!!  THANK YOU SOOOOOO VERY MUCH!!!!  my heart is truly smiling from the love and kudos of strangers...i SINCERELY appreciate it, all!!!

Like the other brides, I am sitting on the edge of my seat kicking my feet just patiently waiting.  Kinda makes me want to buy a ticket to Jamaica, just so I can come back and say, "You should have been there to see this & that".

I just know everything will be beautiful, from the decor, to your dress to those FABULOUS shoes!!!

Sending with you good vibes and happy spirit.  Wishing for a safe flight, a fun stay, and a safe return!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
