OOOhhh, so many good ideas and Michael's has paper on sale and it's Halloween so it is orange every where.

To the DIY paper flowers, with sparkles of course. I never thought about the time pieces, yes we both have a pretty hefty watch collection, I like I like.  I may have to keep your email in my rotation when I come across things....Keep them coming - you're going to have planning withdrawal soon and I will be right here to ease your pain, LOL

Thanks so much for the supply list, made my first run to the dollar store for ribbon:) would have never thought to look there!  Also, gathered some card stock from Hobby Lobby with of course a coupon :).  Time for me to get started on invitations.  Thinking of wrapping the invitation with a ribbon and raffia, then dying the starfish a nice aqua blue and attaching the starfish to the ribbon/raffia then wrapping that all in tissue paper and putting it in a small kraft box for mailing :)  Hoping the vision for DIY project #1 can turn into reality and not a disaster!

Thanks again for all of your great inspirations!

Hi There R!

I just want to chime in and say I'm so proud of how you have thrown your whole self into this wedding and you ended up discovering a hidden talent. I know that your wedding is going to be an amazing experience for both the couple and everyone in attendance!

I love that you share templates and inspire so many brides to DIY but I also love that you have decided to keep some things for yourself. I think if you took the time and energy to come up with something amazing you should be able to supplement your income (a la Martha Stewart).

And you make me crack up everytime I read where you wrote "coooooordinate" because I hear the voice of the dad from the movie Boomarang - I hope that's the reference you had in mind.

I'm so enjoying each of your posts... and btw you need a personal blog - the only other blog I enjoyed as much as yours is Joy Kelly from HowJoyful.com and she was Miss Poodle on Wedding Bee...Like you she is super creative and both you ladies inspire me to tackle making everything I can because I know I can do it!! :)

23 days!!! Cue freak out! JK your too prepared to freak out!

O M G...dominique!  you are toooooo kind!

your post made me tear up...literally...i'm A SUPER SAP..but i have to say, i'm truly blessed to know that brides like you and so many others value my efforts.  i seriously doubt i would've had the strength to finish my DIY projects if i didn't share them with all of you...somehow, i feel like i HAVE to finish so i can have great pics to show all of ya'll when i return.

i actually do have a blog  but i haven't kept up with it..i suppose now's the time to get back at it...  cheesy.gif  i'll definitely take it up again once my big day has come and gone.  i'll be tackling ALL sorts of topics...from party planning (have a baby shower to plan when i return)..to weightloss (and the struggles involved), fashion and pop culture...i mean, i AM a multi-facted individual who loves shoes, food, the kardashians (don't judge me for this guilty pleasure...i can admit i'm seriously OBSESSED with their show) and party planning...stay tuned...  msnwink.gif

thanks, again for your lovely words..you've set me up to have a truly BLESSED thursday, love!!!  THANK YOU SOOOOOO VERY MUCH!!!!  my heart is truly smiling from the love and kudos of strangers...i SINCERELY appreciate it, all!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
