since i can't sleep, i'm incredibly anxious after today's quake in my hometown area..my family and friends are safe and sound in the DC area but i'm just anxious..so i'm up DIYing..late..even though i have to be at work in the AM..how i'm going to manage that, i have no idea.

 

anyway, since i'm up, i thought i'd share my magnets..all dressed up and ready to go...hope you enjoy them as much as i do.  woot.gif

lol...a countdown...uhm, we're 6 weeks out..i'll likely post them about a week before departure...so, you've got about 5 weeks before the 'unveiling'...

 

the magnets aren't going in the OOT bags, rather they will be used as part of the reception decor and guests can decide to take them home as 'favors' along with our CD favor.

 

i'm sooooo loving the magnets though..they were SUPER easy to make!!  and fairly cost efficient too.

A.) I LOVE the magnet idea. Great to throw in an OOT bag, as a favor, or for the place cards. Well done.

B) We felt the earthquake too in B-more! How crazy was that? I'll never forget the feeling. :)

PS-Is that glitter spray paint, or did you paint them purple and then roll them in glitter? Either way they look fantastic. :)

jwed...love, i didn't realize you were in baltimore..my honey is from baltimore so i was calling all over the DMV (DC, MD and VA) area yesterday...had the darndest time reaching folks...THANK GOD FOR TEXT MESSAGES!!!  woo...it was a little scary. i'm visiting there next week and i'll be stomping around the DMV dropping off our OOT bags..can't wait..

 

uhm, ok..focus..the starfish were dyed purple...then i handpainted each with martha stewart glitter paint..sold at my favorite store, michaels.  its like $2.99/bottle..less than that with this week's  40% off coupon..the stuff is freakin' amazing..its included in one of the pics on here...that i took during the painting process.  the paint comes in all sorts of colors..i used a purple one and a silver..i'll upload pics of the silver starfish in a bit...i haven't made those into magnets but i might.  lol!  msnwink.gif

after conferring with the hubby..i've decided to include the starfish magnets in our OOT/welcome/pre-boarding travel bags..here's a peak at how they look with our other OOT/welcome/pre-boarding travel items.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
