ok, fellow brides...i'm pretty serious when it comes to my planning AND i know that i won't be able to hand-hold the WC while i'm getting ready on my big day..so in order to ensure that my vision comes to life, i thought i'd do a mock up table setting that way i can show her what i want at the reception..my plan is to do one long table as we only have about 20 guests coming..so in order to have the reception feel 'very low' key and fun, i'm opting to do one long table..here's pics of the mock-up...(i found a way to incorporate my love of Scrabble, afterall)  enjoy!!!  msnwink.gif  R~

samantha..i had no luck downloading any of martha's stuff...besides the files are in adobe so i just used her version as inspiration for mine..i used the same stripes that appear on my pre-travel boarding passes as the stripes and printed them...it was pretty easy...

i plan to make more in varied heights...also some for round votives and if i can figure out how to do it..then some square..i guess with the square i'd have to fold them.  i'm thrilled with the simplicity of it and cost efficiency..who knew a table could look nice minus flowers...i'm pretty excited!  woo hoo!!!  woot.gif

Mrsfuture girl you are doing you thing! I now want to make reserved seating signs for myself, groom and our best man and maid of honor since they'll be sitting with us a sweetheart table. We plan to scatter the rest of the bridal party in the crowd. I realize I can also make reserved seating signs for the ceremony which is definitely a must especially with parents etc.

Where did you pick up your vellum paper?  Did you just print off your stripes from your printer at home?! They really look great!!!

Love your table and that you were able to incorporate your scrabble. What font did you use for your place cards on the plates? I like the loopiness!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
