Im second guessing my dress WITH 4 MONTHS LEFT!!!

Recommended Posts

Oh man i dunno what to do.

Since the day I bought the dress I have been thinking that maybe I made the wrong choice. I keep telling myself that I tried on a lot of dresses and there were only 2 that gave me the wow and I bought one of them.

Im worried about the shape of the dress. I really love a drop waist on a dress but was having a hard time finding a dress where it didnt fall too low on me bc Im only 5 feet tall. This one looked good ! But now Im worried that its still going to make me look stumpy and that I should have stuck with an A line dress !

I feel like I should go and try other dresses on to be sure but then part of me thinks Im crazy bc theres only 4 months till the wedding and I couldnt get the dress anyway !

What do I do ???

I think a dropped waist will elongate your torso and make you look taller and more lean. I think we all go through this phase. I say go with your gut. It was the right choice and embrace it. You will be beautiful in that dress.

I know EXACTLY how you feel BCbride11, I am feeling the same way with the gown I bought.

Don't panic!  You still have time to visit boutiques that specialize in off the rack designer dresses and sample sales if you want to shop for something else - that's what I'm going to do.  If you find something you absolutely love more than the dress you have now there's still time to buy it and get alterations done.  If you don't find something great it might remind you that you made the right choice the first time around!

I'm sure you look beautiful in the dress you bought. Post pics if you can!  The brides on this forum will give you an honest opinion.

After I bought my dress I felt the same way.  I kept thinking I may have chosen the wrong dress, and kept worrying about it, but when it came in I fell in love with it all over again and I knew it was the perfect dress!

You look great in that dress - I definitely think you should keep it over getting an A-line.  Even from the distance/angle in this picture, you can tell that this dress flatters your figure by showing off your curves - and you would lose a lot of that in an A-line dress.

Just my opinion, but I think you should keep this style of dress!!!

Ok heres the dress. Now the dress I have on here is 2 sizes too big so its all clamped in the back.

What do you ladies think? We decided no veil just flowers in the hair.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
