I finally bought my dress! It will come in during January, which still leaves a good amount of time for fittings, so I'm relieved. I absolutely love my dress, and had a really positive experience at Kleinfelds. Now I'm even more excited! Under the 6 month mark!

Where is everyone with invitations? I sent out STDs in March 2011. My room block closes in January, so we decided to give a December RSVP deadline. So, we are sending invites out in November, which means we need to pick out the ones we want now! We have an appointment with Bloomingdales next week. They have a HUGE selection. at least the one in NYC does. I was going with weddingpaperdivas, but I like the experience of picking out and customizing my invitation in person vs online.

So with less than 4 months to go, I'm starting to get super excited!  After reading what some you ladies had accomplished 3 months ago, I'm going to try not to start panicking, lol.  My mom and matron of honor keep telling me that I need to get on the ball.  I have yet to pick out the groomsmen attire and I thought I had selected the invitations but when getting the sample in the mail, it just looked cheap.  I'm currently looking for shoes for me and my girls.

My dress came in September and my first fitting is in three weeks.

What are you ladies up to at the 4 month mark?

I leave for my wedding in less than 2 months!! I can't believe it is almost here. Im feeling pretty good about where I am at, just trying not to stress about little things.

I have everything confirmed with the resort (Melia Cabo Real) food, reception decor, ceremony set up, ect.

I am making my own centerpieces and have finalized the design and purchased everything that i need to complete them.

I made my own invites and am in the middle of getting response cards back.

My dress just arrived and I am going in for a fitting soon.

My bridesmaids ordered their dresses last month.

And I just received my favors the other day!

So I guess its just details that i need to iron out at this point. I am expecting around 40 people in Mexico which is my perfect size group.

My AHR reception needs most the work right now. It is March 24th in Seattle. We have a venue, and caterer and since I made my own centerpieces for Mexico I will reuse those in Seattle. I still need to send out invites and confirm my entertainment. But there is definitely more to work on.

I am proud of everything that I have accomplished on my own and will post pictures soon.

March is Just around the corner, how is everyone else doing? I hope you all have a Happy New Year!

I can't believe how quickly it is coming and am not feeling that great with what I have done lol!!!

I have nothing confirmed with the resort other then my ceremony and booking a judge for the day.  Still have to figure out which restaurant we want, decorations, music, everything.....

I had sent my invites out along time ago and just had the final payments processed for my group.

My dress and all the accessories are all complete other then adding a simple bustle to my dress (Gotta love no alterations!)

My bridesmaids dresses were just ordered and should be arriving mid Feb.  The groomsmen is another story.  So far only the groom and one of his guys have pants the other two unfortunately missed buying them in the summer and we are now scrambling on what to do.

And my OOT are slowly getting there just have to pick up a few more things but should get on that very soon.

I figure since I'm not going to school this semester the above shouldn't be to bad....Just need to make my list and check it off as I go!!

Hope everyone elses plans are coming together nicely as March will be here in no time at all now!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
