I was kidding, it was a joke because your wedding is so soon and we are soo busy. lol

What happened to your candle. Do not be sad, we can fix it, let us know what happened. Do you have a pic?

I teared it apart last night. I have a glass candle holder about 8 inches high and I got special vellum paper to print on a lil poem and then in memory of ...

I printed them off on the vellum and bought hodge podge (er sumthing like that) for paper to glue to objects. As soon as the thin layer of glue i applied to the paper, the vellum starting curling up. I go to put it on the glass and all the ink bleeds sad.gif The problem is any other adhesive shows through.. so now I'm screwed and out of options.

You are not screwed. What about clear labels? I know they have them in large sizes at Staples. So, why not try that option. I think they even have whole sheets, ie one huge clear label.

I think you should try it out and see what you think. It might not look exactly like you had hoped, but you will not be screwed, you will have one.

OR.. cut the vellum so it's the exact size and just tape the seam? Will it stay around the edges that way?

Nurse Sarah did something great. She printed on tissue paper (taped to paper before running through printer). Then I think with a blow dryer she applied the very thin layer of tissue to a pillar candle.. It looked great.. you could put that inside your glass and it would be the same thing!

They do sell the clear labels as whole sheets. I used clear labels on the outside envelope of my invitations. And it sticks. So you wouldn't need the hodge podge though I'm thinking you used decoupage. They also make spray on glue so you could spray from far away. I think the label would be the best bet b/c it needs no glue. Good luck!

I ordered a shell on ebay the other night. It came in the mail and

FI says "whats in that package?"

I say, oh, I think its the shell I ordered to hold our rings

FI: huh?

me: we'll put our rings in it and you can carry it in your pocket

FI: umm, thats corny, shouldn't I have been consulted on this first?

me: no, really, I think it will look really cute for our rings

I open the package and out comes this ENORMOUS shell holder thing, I was dying!! FI thought I was nuts!

So the lesson here is make sure you check the dimensions of your shell prior to ordering it.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with this giant shell thing now.

Ummm... gather stones from the beach, or buy marbles, arrange them on the enormous shell... then have people pick up one each and place in a vase or something like that. We did something like that at our graduation from university and it unified everyone. It was very cool.
Don't have any other ideas right now...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
