Which videographer?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to choose between RGweddings, Nas photography and Marcia Roberts.  Has anyone used these vendors? There is not  a lot of their work posted on their websites.  Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hey daisymarble,

Out of those 3 I think I like RG Weddings the best but I can not get them to contact me. NAS responded and gave me their pricing but I really do not like their work as much. I have not seen any of Marcia Roberts videos. I am really getting close to my date and would love some response from RG weddings. If you hear from them please let me know!

I was having similar difficulties with Jamaican videographers, and really wanted an amazing video to caputure the wedding.  I ended up booking LoveStruck Films from California, that do destination videography.  I found them on this forum based on the vendor reviews.  Their work is amazing! However, they are on the more expensive side.  Don't know if that helps at all.  http://lovestruckfilms.com/what-we-do/  that's their website.

I used Roxroy of RG Weddings for my 7/23/11 wedding at Moon Dance Villas. I don't have the DVD yet, but working with Roxroy was great. He was more than punctual, which is somewhat unexpected in JA, and completely unobtrusive which was important to me. I'm giving him a lot of leeway in getting the video to us because I know how busy he is. While there are a lot of photographers in JA, there seems to be a lack of videographers. I'll update y'all once I get the DVD. Good luck!

We got married in July and do not have the video yet. Pushing 5(!!!) months and I am not happy. I keep getting email promises as well, but no results. Extremely disappointing.

What can we do seriously to report this guy? This is not fair to us considering we all live in the states. Is he a scam artist?? Only one other bride on here said she received her video in 2 months. I'm fed up now. We paid in full was promised a product 30 days after we wed and here we are 3 months later still freaking waiting. We need to research if there's a reporting agency in Jamaica that we can contact.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
