DIY/Vista Print Luggage Tags, Bachelorette Party invites & Pre-travel Brochures

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone for the compliments! Actually it was very easy and I am no pro!...I seen a pic of someone else's travel brochure and used it as a guide to personalize it for my guests. The first thing I did was typed it up on a word Doc then just copied and paste it onto one of the templates the offered. I searched the templates by typing caribbean and beach until i found the right one. after I did it i just saved it on the website and vista print kept emailing me discounts. Then the other morning I woke up and livingsocial.com have emailed me the offer to pay $10 for a $50 coupon code. so all in all I only paid $10 for 50 brochures and 250 business cards (luggage tags) I added the bachelorette invites so I could get free shipping. If you want, I can help you format the brochure on vista print and then you can order it if you like it. PM me if your interested. Thanks again to everyone for the compliments :) Felicia

Love the travel brochures, did you design them and then just upload them to vista print?! The whole vista print thing overwhelms me but then I see great work like yours and figure I need to do something with it!!!

Its funny you say that... I spent like 2 hours trying to find a way to embellish it more! the only thing I really did was downloaded my monogram and centered it to the front of the business card. Then vista print gave me options for the back side and all I did was change the appointment date and time to name and address and phone number. Honestly, after 2 hours of trying to do more to the front I would have chosen anything for the back. I was so frustrated by then...mainly because I didn't want to pay to upload anymore of my designs. And their free designs didn't go well with my custom monogram. I got 250 luggage tags for only 3.99 (80% off)...I'm headed to amazon.com now to order some luggage tag holders for them. Let me know if I can be of any help in the future :)

Everything looks great. Love your luggage tags. Puts mine to shame!

Well I don't plan on sending my pre travel brochures until about 2weeks before we leave for Jamaica. Most resorts require the trip to be paid in full 30 days before the arrival date so by the time you are 2 weeks out you will know exactly who will be attending and who will not be attending.  I am waiting until about 2 weeks before because I don't want to risk the chance of any of my guests misplacing the luggage tags or the brochure. Plus if they get the brochure then they can start using my tips to prepare for the trip. The info I included in my brochure was info from a couple of brochures I seen on BDW. I just changed the info to fit my guest and the resort where we will be staying etc. Then I sent the draft to my travel agent to make sure the info I included about the resort was accurate. Then I ordered the Brochure. It is a good idea to include the travel agents info. I didn't think to add that but they can get it from our wedding website which is included on the brochure. Let me know if this helps. Felicia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
