Hi Fired UP B2B:

I have been considering Steingard, HDC, as well as looking for local photographers in Vancouver. This realy is a difficult decision for us, but BDW has been invaluable in it all! :) How did you go making your photog decision?

Hi Vancouver Bride :)

I decided on HDC & am SO excited to have them be a huge part of our day!! I kept reviewing pics from all the photographers I had in the 'mix' and in the end I loved HDC's the best...they also have great reviews, great customer service & the prices seem good too :)

Hope this helps!

Hi Tori! We will be getting married the same weekend :) We will be at the Majestic Elegance but having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Jellyfish on 2/3. I would like to have just a couple of hours of photography at the resort. I talked to Phil Steingard and he said that they allow him to take pictures there with no fee because he stays there all the time. I am interested in evaluating all options. Do you have price list for Katya? I asked ME for clarification on if we needed to pay the $300 fee to have a photographer for only a few hours and they said yes, for any amount of time

Has anyone had any experience with this?  Does it work?  Any idea where I would book this?  The hotel does not have "availabilities" on the website right now but I am told closer to the date they will.

Any information would help!!!

I don't have a price list for Katya unfortunately but if you send her an email she should be able to help you out.  We worked with her to create our own package to suit our needs which was great!!!

She is moving to Punta Cana this month and will be living on the beach.  We will be doing our TTD session on her beach as we do not want to have to pay the $400 TWICE ($300 for her and $90 for Rob).  If you are just looking for beach pictures I would suggest talking to her as you could get shots done just down the beach where she is OR I am sure she would know other great spots you could go!!! She is so so sweet and easy to work with, definitely shoot her an email and explain the situation I am sure she'd be happy to offer a few solutions.  I have heard amazing things about photo phil both on here and on facebook but his work is just not my style so we decided to suck up the extra charge and get the pictures we wanted.  Afterall they last a lifetime!

Phil isn't really our style either, which is why I want to search all options! Although he does do great work, we are just looking for a little different. I will email Katya. I wouldn't mind doing all our pictures at the Jellyfish but I really don't want the seagrass in the background and I would like some shots without the boats in the background that are in the water there. I will send her an email. Thanks!

The nice thing about Katya living down there is that if you explain your day and what you'd like for pictures I bet she could scout out areas near by where you could avoid the boats and seagrass etc.  She has been a great help to me!!!!!

Good luck!

I'm getting married at The Hard Rock Hotel and HDC is the photography vendor that they provide. After seeing their website and reading reviews, I am very happy with them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
