Any 2012 Paradisus Palma Real brides out there??

Recommended Posts

Hi PC Bride !  I am planning a wedding at Paradisus and I just contacted one of the planning coordinators today.  I thought the price quote she gave me for rooms were pretty high.  I am planning an October wedding and she told me that rooms start at 147 per person per night and that's during the low season !  Can you tell me what the price quote was for Palma Real?

I've just gone over some prices with my TA and the resort prices aren't bad - 4 days/3 nights at 1300 for the couple. So that's about 650 per person. Figure you don't have to pay for food or drink while there, it's pretty sweet deal. How much were you quoted?

The airfare is another matter all together. I'm going to call a few airlines direct to see if I can put together a group rate.

Hi Ladies!

Those rates are much better than i'm getting, about $50 per person a night.  When is your wedding?  We are looking at over $265 per person a night!!  I'm freaking out.  We were told this February they were $181, we never imagined they would go up 130%.  After we put money down so we didn't lose our date, and I already sent out save the dates.

I'm getting my save the dates done now and am not putting an exact location. I was brought down to earth by family who figured that $200 a night was a bit much.

Personally, if you have a website set up and decide to change the location, post it there and everyone will understand. I'm still considering two others but I almost sent off the deposit on Friday.

I too loved it but when I got the prices (that I posted earlier) realized I'd be pricing out my whole family. I've spoken to two TAs who both said that the Paradisus and Zoetry resorts are the most expensive on the island. They then told me I can get the same level of luxury at better costs at a few other locations. I'm waiting to see the difference in price packages.

As for incentives - I got none of that either. A TA is looking into it because if they'd offer one room free for every 5 or 7 booked then that's at least a discount you can pass on to the guests. Or kids free. Or something...will let you know once I hear back.

My wedding is in Feb and I still haven't picked a place yet. Simply because of the pricing issue. I know that I've chosen the high season so it won't be as cheap, as say July, but still, what they quoted was way out there. I've several people that are families of five.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just put down my deposit for Jan. 14th at Paradisus Palma Real today! Somewhat relieved but now nervous.  I'm really hoping that flight costs go down.  My quote for a 4 day weekend was similar to vav11238, 1300-1400 range for hotel for two people.  I was considering a couple other resorts that were a bit less expensive but Palma Real was the only resort FH and I could agree on. ::sigh::  I hope there are some incentives! We're going to be there for a week and will have around 50 people rolling with us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
