Thanks Lindsey!

Tori, they start at 9.99 per bag and the more you order the higher the group discount! And upto 40%  off if you use the coupon code by Sunday!

I didnt go with the ones pcitured, if you click on them you can personalize them! Thats what we did, we are going with Mr. and Mrs. Right, that way if any one wants to use these bags in the future it doesnt have a big photo of us and it would get more use! LOL!

Looks like there are quite a few of us February 2012 Brides!! :) woot.gif

My Fiance and I are getting married February 23rd, 2012 at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Montego Bay Jamaica, and we Can't wait!!!!!!!  I have already been pretty busy ordering and planning as i am sure we all have in here :) Part of what drove me to start ordering things early, was the Canada Post strike.. I am a worry wart and figured if i had them before the strike it was one less thing i would worry about. I am going to post some pictures here just to show you some of the things i have gotten thus far :)

These are the invitations that we went with, and sent out. I have gotten so many good comments on them, so we are so happy we went with them. (ignore the broken peice on the starfish.. i busted it myself when i was playin around with it.

These are what we went with for our wedding favors. We got them from Hansonellis.com

This is our Guestbook.. It has a cheesy saying on the top, that you can choose to remove, but i liked it.. heheh and we personalised it, which made me like it even more :)

We decided we wanted to do something a bit different for our wedding that we havent seen alot of.. and that was wish Lanterns. We found a wishing pot ( picture below) that gave us the idea.. so we bought the wishing pot for people to write down wishes for the bride and groom. Once they write down thier wish, we are giving each guest a Floating wish lantern. I already checked with my resort, and they cleared us to do this. The floating lanterns are ones you light up with a flame, and then they inflate, they float for several minutes and up several miles into the sky. They are absolutely beautiful... the ones we got are all white.

Bride2012 and Torilynnsmith, Thank you Ladies so much!!!

I haven't seen those movies yet and to be honest... we just watched "tangles" the kids movie last weekend.. and saw them on there and went " HEYYYY we are doing that for our wedding!!!" hahaha  we actually got the idea from a movie we seen a few years ago " couples retreat" and My FI sawe them and say hey those are soo cool! , so when we got engaged.. that was the one thing he said he wants us to try and find.. soo i went on a goole research mission! hahaha

So If you are a canadian Bride such as myself.. i recommend using "weddinglanterns.com" as thier shipping was reasonable and they are the cheapest i could find.  If you are in the states, that company is also good as they are based out of New York, but there is also a website that carries them called " wishlantern.com"

And of course i don't mind if you guys use my idea!! :) goodness knows i have used enough ideas of everyone else's off these message boards !! time to pay it forward!! hahahah

I ended up buying one lantern per person.. that way when we release them there will be about 35 lanterns floating in the air.. we are pretty excited! i think this is the part of the wedding i am looking most forward to!

Oh and the lanterns do come down after about 20 minutes or so i think is what they said.. but the wick in them just burns out.. and then they fall to the ground.. we are releasing ours on the beach so they will fall into the ocean.. and they are 100% biodegradable.

Hope that helps ladies!!! :)

PS. if you wanted to get the wishing pot and do what we are going to do, and get your guests to write you a wish and put it in the pot before you release the lanterns, i got the Pot at hansonellis.com

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
