( long story.. lol) and i was the most stressed about. The very first place i went to, the girls were fantastic and i ended up finding my dress.. and i was able to buy it right off the rack!!!!!!!! no ordering.... just some alterations..  and making a few minor changes ( it had a zipper back, so i am getting them to put in a lace up back, and i am changing the top to be a sweetheart shape) I was sooooooo happy!!!!! I do have a picture shown below here.. but it is not the best as she has it all pinned for the alterations and the lighting kinda sucked.. but it is somewhat of an idea i suppose :) the close up pic is before it got pinned, and what the top looks like now.. the one with me wearing it is where it is all pinned.. and isn't all cinched in ( as this was a tad big on me in some areas etc.. ) buuut you get the idea.

I bought bliztex with SPF 15 in the states for under $1 a piece and I created my own labels using powerpoint.  I then purchased 8.5 x 11 full page labels sheets and just printed all my labels on those as that way I could do the variety of sizes i needed ie. first aid kits, sewing kits, bubble bath, lip balms etc.

Let me know if you need more details, you can also check out my OOT bag thread to see how they turned out! I was quite happy with them!

Could you tell me more about your personalized lip balm?  Im working with a person from ebay, but I wasnt extremely impressed with the samples they sent me... and they forgot to send the sample labels as well :(  But the prices were under $1 each so I thought that was pretty good.

Hi Shay,

I got mine from littlethingsfavors.com  they were great! the lip balm is actually really good and hey re only 89 cents per piece. the labes come in an envelope and you have to stick them on yourself, but it is easy.. and you get to pick the color. lettering etc... quite good!!

http://www.littlethingsfavors.com/peexlipba.html  They have other types too of course so take a look, but these are the type i got. :)

Hope that helps!

Thanks tori!,

It look ssoo much better in person, hehe but i am so happy with it.. and it is super light for the beach, so i got the best of both words.. long princess type dress scaled down of course. but also light and not to hot for the beach.. :)

I have been losing alot of weight, ( down over 40 lbs so far, but i have about 40 more or so to go) and so i am going to be going back for another fitting in End of december or so, to get my exact measurements so they can do the alterations based on that size.. :)  so i wont be putting the dress on again until december.. :)

I ordered my dress & cannot wait to get it!!!! It would have been 4-6 months if I ordered it at one of the Wpg Bridal salons however I went to the States and it took less than 3 weeks!!!! Amazing!! So now the dress is waiting for me :).

OMG!!! Congrats on the HUGE weight loss that is AMAZING!!!!!! You must be so proud of yourself, what are your secrets?  I would like to lose about 20, or rather tone and firm certain areas, the number doesnt really matter to me!! I just completed a 1 month yoga challenge and we got there about 4 times a week which I was happy with.  I have noticed I am getting back to where I want to be but still a ways to go!  I am also losing all my bust from yoga, no idea why, so I am going to get back at the gym as well to get that problem fixed ASAP lol  We should definitely start sharing our dieting, exercise, weight loss secrets as feb brides!!! I know there is a weight loss support for 2012 brides but its nice to talk to brides that are on the same timeline as me!!!!!

OMG that is amazing!!! What dress did you choose?! I will post a picture once I get it! We didnt take any photos of me in it and since it is a private collection there is none online so the salon will be sending me a photo tomorrow!!!!! I don't actually like how my dress looks "on the hanger" but it will have to do for now!!!!!

wow! No kidding, congrats on the weight loss Luvmoo!! :)

I'm in the same 'boat' as you torilynnsmith in that I want to lose 10-15 or well tone more so. Funny, a friend & I just tried hot yoga yesterday for the 1st time and loved it!! We're doing that for one month along with a weight class every week in addition to our reg walking routine. It's fun & I can see how yoga & weights are going to be a good combination!

My dress is Allure 8755..it is gorgeous & so much more beautiful in white (versus the color shown on the dress on their site)..I orginally pictured a flowy, spaghetti strap type of dress on me yet when I tried the 'flowy' ones on they did nothing for my figure..then I tried this one on & wow, I came out of the dressing room and got so gushy & thought is that ME?! lol I tried on about 10 more but nothing compared :). I'm just tossed on the gems on the one strap..not sure if I'll remove them or get some take out yet. I love every other aspect of the dress though..the corset back, etc. I have a feeling I may be hot but oh well!! lol

What does your dress look like?

What are you doing for shoes? Dressy or flip flops?

Just checked out your dress online and it is GORGEOUS!!!! I love the 1 strap, that is what I was originally leaning toward!!!

Mine is basically a sweetheart version of pronovias galante, it is a special collection by pronovias but I will post a picture when I get it.  It sort of looks like "fresa" but not quite the exact same.  At least gives you an idea.  I originally expected to do the flowy beachy destination wedding dress but definitely didn't like how they fit me either!!!!

I am so glad to hear someone else is doing hot yoga, we are doing moksha and love it.  It is so great to sweat it all out and my skin feels amazing!!!!

I am a shoe whore for lack of a better word so the idea of giving up beautiful heels is really hard for me to take! I am going to go barefoot for the ceremony (on the beach) and am on the hunt for the perfect navy shoe to wear for dinner and the reception.  I considered doing a flat sandal like a gladiator style or something but I don't know.  Plans may change but for now I am set on having my shoes!!!

What are your plans?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
