Spray Tan in Cancun???

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

Being a very fair skinned gal Im trying to figure out how to give my body a nice glow before stepping into that white dress. Problem is I dont want to tan in the states before going down, as it will be mostly faded by the time the wedding comes around (not to mention Id have to avoid the sand/pool). Has anyone heard of any airbrush/spray tan facilities in the cancun area either in a hotel or something easy??? Anyone ever used a company down there???

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I don't know about Cancun salons, but I did manage a tanning salon for 4 years so I know a little about spray tans.  How many days are you going to be in Cancun before your wedding?  A spray tan normally lasts about 7-10 days depending on how dry your skin is (the drier your skin the longer it lasts).  You also do NOT have to avoid the pool/ sand.  You can swim with a spray tan.  But obviously, it will fade faster than if you were not swimming. I recommend looking into somewhere that either uses a Norvell spray tan solution or has the Versaspa booth system.  Those systems give you a more natural bronze glow instead of a orangeish glow that the Mystic tan can give.  If you are only going to be in Cancun a couple of days before the wedding, I recommend doing it at home the day before you leave and making you "extra" dark so you still have great color when you get married.

I hope this helps a bit! :)

I read on a photographers website NOT to use spray tan's for your wedding.  It said it makes your skin look's orange in your photo's.  So if you are going to, try it at home first and be sure that you are comfortable with the way you look in the next day's.  Don't try anything right before the wedding!  Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
