I'm thinking about using a photo collage for my STD. Any suggestions to improve it? I was thinking shadows around the pictures, but I don't think I can do that in powerpoint. I'm playing around with lumapix to see if i can recreate it with shadows.

I was planning to order these as post cards through vista print & type a message on the back. Can you use your own fonts in vista print or do you chose from theirs? I wanted to make it look handwritten like a post card.

Can I upload this on vista print as 1 image?

Oh, the website is fake b/c my FI doesn't want me to post our website url on the internet.

If it was me, I might either lighten up the blue background like Paula suggested, or go with white- then your logo will stand out more. Or, you could make a darker logo (also easy in Lumapix) to go with this STD.

I don't remember for sure, but I think you can upload a completed project .jpg to vistaprint, and therefore use your own fonts. I think there is a size limit to the upload though, so make sure your finished project is small enough. Does that make sense?

Another layout idea (to keep it simpler, and make your logo stand out more) would be to just to 2 large pics (I like the first two from the left the best, just my opinion) with your logo in the middle, and text underneath it. I'm thinking that by the time this prints out as a postcard the pics are going to be pretty small, and it might be better to emphasize a couple of them and see them well.

But, if you leave it the way it is, it's already good. If you don't make any other changes, I would just make the picture on the upper right align with the one underneath it, and do the same with the 2 middle photos...it will look more balanced that way. Just a couple suggestions!

My one suggestion would be to lighten up the blue background because your logo looks a little bit faded out.
Good suggestion. Thanks! I was thinking my logo looked a little faded, but wasn't sure what to do. I can also brighten my logo. I might try both options. I think my dots might need to be darker around my logo.

So true! I bet everything will look really small. I wanted to do a test print, but I'm not on the computer hooked up to a printer.

Here are links to the pictures & my logo if anyone feels like playing around with it for fun. I'd really like to include the picture that is on the upper left side b/c I really like that one. The picture that is top center is also a favorite. But they are both tall, so if it would be more interesting to have a tall & long picture then probably the one in front of the pond would be the best.

Probably the standard size 5.47" x 4.21". I like that they are almost 4x6 so people could trim them a little & stick them in a photoalbum. That's what I do with stuff like that I get in the mail.

Here is a powerpoint file with my logo if anyone wants to adjust it. I'm not stuck on these colors either. I wanted a tangerine color, but I don't think I was able to get the color I was imagining. I also have to avoid it looking too much like burnt orange, because we went to Texas A&M. I haven't picked out wedding colors. Really my logo will be the only thing in my color. I don't want a particular color, but I want it to be bright & festive. I'm playing around with colors now & I'll post it.

Oh, & if anyone wants it, feel free to use my logo template.

I'm playing around with my colors. This is probably a backwards way to determine my colors, but I only care that they are bright (and don't look too much like university of texas colors). Not that I care so much, but I know guest would pick on us if they were.

I'm not having bridesmaids or bringing my own decorations, so our colors won't play such a big role.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
