I'd love to see your site visit pics!!! We are STILL trying to decide between the Riu and Dreams for our wedding July 2010. We have been to the Riu and loved it but based on wedding reviews, Dreams sounds better. However, the pictures I've seen of the grounds of Dreams don't look as nice as the Riu. So many decisions, but pictures are worth a thousand words!!!

Looking forward to seeing the pics!

It's really a hard decision to make. I was going crazy at first cause you have so many decisions to make, and many things to consider. It was so overwhelming but this site really helped in making those decisions!!

Few more questions;
*Has anyone ever done a "signature drink" at Dreams before?
*Have any previous brides used a slide show during their reception?
*Any ideas for a welcome party (no food, just drinks/entertainment)
*Can anyone recommend a good minister?

Thank you!
I have seen ladies before so Signature drinks yes! I am assuming you can set something up with the WC there, they might have ideas from the past or you can provide them with one too.

They have screens you can rent to show pictures during the reception yes! I do not know what the price of it is though.

Ladies in the past have done a poker party, bonfire, those might be things you can look into!

Hope that helps a little bit!

Tammy, your dress is gorgeous! Its pretty much exactly what ive been looking for. Its so delicate for a beach wedding...it looks like there's a glow around you. All of the dresses i seem to find are heavy and too formal.

And call me stupid but what are OOT bags? I know they are bags for the guest or bridal party but what does it stand for?

are you having the welcome bonfire at Dreams? My fiance and I wanted to do that until we saw a photo of a previous bonfire there. It was a mexican fireplace, we wanted something like a real bonfire that our guests could sit around.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
