Morning ladies!  I just posted another Dreams Los Cabos wedding in my blog.  The ceremony is in the gazebo, reception by the small pool, fire dancers, and continued reception in El Dorado Ballroom.  If you're interested, here is the link: Faber Photography Blog

Hi all! Thanks for the earlier congrats! I had a few stressful weeks trying to figure it out, but I am officially booked for January 14th at Dreams Los Cabos! Now for the fun stuff! I believe we are going to get married at the gazebo and have the reception on the cascade terrace! I have heard good things about both options so hopefully it turns out nice!

Did anyone have the symbolic ceremony? My fiance and I are debating this right now, and are thinking of doing a cour wedding on December 10th (our 6 year anniversary) and just having the symbolic ceremony in Mexico. Do any past brides have any good or bad advice on this?

Thanks again and I can't wait to share my planning with everyone!

Hi Shawnarochelle,

First and foremost, congrats! I also booked the gazebo and cascade terrace. From all the pictures I've seen, I'm pretty sure it will turn out perfectly!!!

I chose both a symbolic and legal ceremony. We are doing our legal ceremony (only about 15 minutes) first thing in the a.m. on the same day as our symbolic. We will only have our witnesses present, so it doesn't take away from what we consider our "real" wedding later on that day. We wanted to make sure our "official" marriage is the same as the day we celebrate with our family and friends. Dreams is charging an extra $300 to have both on the same day.

Congrats ShawnaRochelle!

Our wedding is also taking place at the gazebo, although we've opted to have our reception at the Oceana Pool Terrace rather than the Cascade Terrace (we're only having around 35 guests).

Like some of the other ladies here, I was also planning on having a dual legal/symbolic ceremony, but we've just opted to get legally married in Canada first. In as much as we had our hearts set on getting married legally on July 27th, we could not justify the cost (Dreams was charging and additional $350 for legal ceremony, plus bloodwork $220 per person, plus the cost of getting Apostille Birth Certificates $700+). Altogether with getting the documents translated when we got back, all of the additional paperwork and an additional $2000 cost, we said forget it. So we're now going for symbolic only, with the ceremony being conducted by Rev. Marco.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
