Hi Erika

The music is not included. I hired Ron Weber, also known as DJ FunkleRon. I know the name is crazy funny....I found him through the forum from a different bride. He is a California transplant living in Cabo in his retirement. He was perfect for our needs. Our group did not dance----we used him for mood music, changing things up when needed, introducing us for our first dance, intoducing my mother for her speech and allowing others to come up to the mic and give speeches. He is very chill and laid back which is what we needed. We had him from 7:00-10:30 for $475. We did tip him as well. I thought he did a nice job. His email is rweber88@hotmail.com

He met us on Thursday at Dreams (our wedding was on a Monday)in the morning to go over our plans, we gave him a much of cd's that we burned so he could put them into his system and so that he could know what our style of music was.

You can also rent a speaker system with a microphone from Dreams for $275 and do the music on your own. We did this the night before for our welcome dinner. That worked great for our needs the night before.

I hope this helps.

Nancy

Does anyone remember the bride that posted her review of dreams and said that her group got some strange rashhuh.gif She even posted pics of it. I was just wondering because we are honeymooning with the same rash! Not sure if we should go to the doctor or if we can just pick something up in town. If anyone knows would you pm the link to that thread please do, I would appreciate it!

The wedding was perfect, will write a review when I get home!

Thanks!

Thanks all!
I ordered my shoes online and they were perfect! Check out Nordstrom, Endless, or Zappos. I found my shoes at Nordstrom then I googled the name of the shoe just to compare prices and found them at Zappos for a little bit cheaper plus they have free shipping (both ways). Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
