- Finalized menu for reception

- Got my dress (and love it!)

- Booked hair/makeup

- Bridesmaid dresses ordered

- Purchased Aaron's/GM's shirts, next weekend is the mad hunt for pants

- Booked Flights

- Wedding band purchased (just picked mine up today!)

- Seating chart

- Centerpieces

- Rehearsal dinner/menu confirmed with Mariana.

Things that have a *partial* checkmark (mostly so I can make myself feel better about this list!)

- OOT bags. We've gotten quite a bit done. I'd like to do welcome letters, a map, and get some custom sports bottles done up

- I've actually started writing my vows!

Things Awaiting a Checkmark:

- Wedding day accessories

- Alterations in a few weeks

- Get wedding party gifts

- Create welcome dinner slideshow

- Small DIY projects like: guestbook, letters for OOT bags, programs (? not sure if I'm going to do them), I'm also creating a duotang for all guests (one per household) that I'll send before we leave. It'll have things like maps, phone numbers, things to remember, wedding day info, and an "ice-breaker" page introducing all guests attending.

- small things like a cake topper, starfish for my bouquet

- Write up ceremony/readings. My uncle will be helping me with this since he is performing the ceremony

I think you should contact a TA. I got my room block and I had to pay only a couple hundred per room, not the entire stays worth. I think if you went through a room block, you'd only have to pay around 5000-7000 total.

In addition to that, you don't actually pay that towards your guest's rooms, you can apply that to the cost of your wedding reception if you want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
