Hi ladies,

I posted this on another thread but bc I have to make this decision soon, I thought I'd try this one too.

I am currently finalizing my menu for November wedding at Dreams. On the webinar with Dreams that I attended (throug hthis site) it was asked and confirmed that we could offer 2 to 3 main meal choices from the Gold menu, as long as we put it on the name cards and told the resort in advance. Apparently now my planner Jessica is saying they only allow 2 choices. I said that on the webinar we were told we could have three but she said it is policy. I also know other brides getting married around the same time at Los Cabos are allowed to have their guests choose from 3. Could you provide any advice or does anyone have it in print from the resort that they can pick from 3 mains? That would be helpful.

thanks!

Ok for those who have already gotten married at Dreams resort....We are planning on doing a couple of excursions when we are there, I am wondering how much time before the wedding do you have to plan on meeting ahead for detail info. we will arrive on wednesday morning and we get married friday night. Would we be able to do something on thursday or do I need to leave that open for the hotel? Thanks a bunch.

We didnt need much more than 15-20 min for the rehersal and talk with the WC before our beach rehersal dinner.

However I will add this, there is so much to do at dreams and we had so many guests all over the place at the resort I wouldnt have had time to leave and do anything even had I planned to. My guests just loved the all inclusive aspect and getting to know each other and haning out.

Hi Ladies!

I'm just starting to plan my Dreams Los Cabos wedding for August 3, 2013 - yay!!

I have a question on the legal vs symbolic ceremonies.  I'd like to actually be married on the day of my wedding, but I do not want my ceremony to be in Spanish with a translator.  So, I guess my option is to get legally married BEFORE heading down to Mexico??

What do most people do?  Any suggestions for me on this one?  Seems like a bummer to already be married when I leave for my wedding :(

Thank you!

We will be getting married when we get back home. We wanted to be married there and looked at having legal earlier and doing symbolic at normal time with family and friends. But the extra expense of about 1000.00 and having to be there at least 4 days ahead changed our mind. To us it wasn't worth spending the money.

You could get married legally after your DW when you are home - if you don't want to take away from it by getting married before you go. You also need blood tests taken if you are getting legally married in Mexico, and as mentioned above the legal marriage is more expensive and only said in Spanish with a translator. I would consider waiting to be legally married when you are home - cheaper, easier, and won't take away from your wedding day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
