Welcome LRJ! Mariana is my WC, too. She has been amazing so far. My wedding is in July, and so far we've created our theme, picked our florist, grooms and groomsmen's suits, bm dresses, found a DJ, a makeup artist and hairstylist, organized our photography/videography team...the list goes on! You will find lots of things to keep you busy :)

Welcome to the forum I am getting married at Dreams on 11th April, David is my wedding co-ordinator, i haven't come across anyone else who has David as a wc but so far he has been great. I found it really hard waiting for my final head count and then when the rsvp date came and went and some people still hadn't responded was very frustrating!!  Tammy is right though there is lots to do locations for your ceremony, d.j, after party?

My photographer is Gabriel Garcia i met him when i visited cabo and thought he was great, his prices are really good.

Good luck with all your planning.

Victoria

We are just doing a symbolic ceremony in mexico as it seems so much easier for several different reasons!

Hey girls, my husband and I got married at Dreams in April of 2009 and we did just a church wedding.  We had our legal ceremony here at home 2 days before we left for Cabo, and when we got there we had the religious ceremony in San Jose followed by the reception at Dreams.  I am not around as much on the planning boards, but I have a link to my review in the siggy and feel free to ask me any questions!

We're doing both a legal and symbolic ceremony in Cabo. Rev. Archeigo will be performing our symbolic ceremony for us, and then we'll have a judge do the legal right afterwards (it's really just signing papers, from what Mariana has told us). We really didn't want to get married before our after the wedding day, as we didn't like the idea of being. It's really not a lot of work to get it done in Mexico, not sure why so many people don't do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
