you'll have to click on each item that you want to change the color of...then right click to open the 'picture tools', format picture and then select the fill and line color of your choice.

i hope that makes sense.

Hi ,

The monograms you made for other brides off the cuff are amazing! So I am hoping you can help me out. If you want to play around with my ideas that would be great. I am pretty creative but having a hard time figuring out how to put my images together. I made a few a few weeks ago and wasn't happy. Is Powerpoint a easier program to use to manipulate the images and their colors then Word? I am not familliar with Photoshop so don't dare dive into that.

My weddingn colors are a cranberry red and light vibrant blue. We are getting married January 4, 2012 at Dreams Tulum, Mayan Riviera  Ann-Marit & Stuart (Thomson)

Thanks!

Oops, forgot to tell you what images I would like...a couple palm trees, 2 star fish...I was thinking one blue and one red at the bottom of the trees would be nice...maybe the trees could be blue...Don't know how to manipulate images to change their colour.

Thanks!

I really like the monogram you did with the red and pink starfish and shells. I am wonderinf if trying to combine, palm trees, starfish and a hibiscus flower is too much...thoughts?

Thanks!

hi, amjohnson!

i've love to help..but i'm in the middle of some serious planning for my own wedding (october 2011) so adding a monogram to my list of DIY projects is virtually impossible at this time.  i'm sorry.

what i can tell you is...yes, powerpoint is much easier to use and no..i don't think its too much to want to incorporate all of the elements you described.  i think you should incorporate what you like into your monogram/logo...if a design is too busy it can be changed.

if you're willing to wait until after my big day, i'd be happy to help you out..i just know that right now, i simply don't have the time or energy to devote to anything other than my own projects.

i'm sorry i'm not much help right now.

Hi, I totally understand. I was playing around with powerpoint and having a few issues. If you can point me in the right direction that would be great. I used the help bar but still couldn't crop the image I wanted completely...there is still a white box around the star fish. I am trying to overlap two star fish. I got rid of the background I didn't want but for some reason, I lost some detail that was on the starfish....I will continue to play around but if you can give me any pointers when you get a chance, that would be great. My Fiance is an I.T. guy for Microsoft but he knows he stuff so well...he gets frustrated when helping me and I get impatient ...haha...so I want to show him I can figure it out on my own;)

if you can...attach the picture here and let me know how you want it...it sounds like you're having issues with grouping and ungrouping the picture/clipart.

i'll see if i can get it the way you want it...the help tool is of no use in instances like this..because powerpoint isn't a graphics program..so we're using it outside of it's recommend use.

Hi R, here is the image. I am trying to copy it and overlap two of them together. I wanted to crop as much of the background out as I could from one star fish and them over lap it over them other one...maybe I would be best to pick a different star fish image but I like the angle of it and the sand...Thanks for you help!

Hi, The first image is fine, I was wanting to hopefully have a monogram inside a dotted circle, with two palm trees and two star fish at the bottom of the trees with our initials included somehow. I was just finding it hard to overlap the first star fish. I was playing around again last night, are you able to tell me how you got your images to overlap without any background?..I tried cropping again and removing the background but still can't do it. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
