FYI -- I have been in contact with Sandy at Tai Flora. She sent me me several brochures... They give you credit for the items included in your package.  For example my package (dendrobium - renewal package)  includeds the bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere, a centerpiece and 2 tropical arrangements.  I also need about 8 reception centerpieces, 3 BM bouq, 2 corsages, and 4 additional bouts.  I will get "credit" for what's included in my package.   They send you a brochure with the available choices -- you get credit for what's included and anything else is extra.  They have 164 bouquets to choose from and there is also a plethora of choice for recpetion decor, etc.  I can email you the information she sent me if you like (4 pdf docs).

I just booked my wedding for April 2012 at the Grand Palladium and am ssuuuppeer nervous.. Omeshia (one of the wedding coordinators) has asked me to pick between the blue lagoon and the posiedon for my reception and the pictures she sent me of both places were right of the website.. do you happen to have any suggestions??Im looking for a nice place that will truly be private and through the pictures i cant tell anything about either of them!

I would say Blue Lagoon.  That's what I chose.  A friend had a private birthday party when we went last October, and the space is ideal for a wedding reception.  My second choice would be Poseidon.  It's a nice open almost patio-like space right on the beach.  It has a much more casual beachy feel... Blue Lagoon is more sleek and refined.  I hope this helps.

I am getting married April 27th, 2012  - i contacted the Grand Palladium requestion a wedding cordiator but they said they do not assign you one until two months prior to your wedding date ... is this right? I am just worried that I won't get the location i want for our reception. We will be having a private reception, and from all the research I have done, it seems like the Blue Lagoon and Posiedon are the only options. Are there are other options that I may not know about?  thanks!

I wasn't assigned a wedding coordinator until about two months before my date.  However, I just made initial arrangements such as securing the date, time, and Blue Lagoon for my private reception with the Wedding Manager at about 10 months out.  I confirmed the availability and sent my paperwork and deposit in to reserve the Blue Lagoon.

Hi All!!

We're getting married on Apr 18, 2012 at the GPJ and we are really looking forward to it! It looks like there are lots of people getting married the same week as us, too :)

I've been dealing with our wedding coordinator (Simone and now Loraine) since about June and they have been very helpful for the most part, although sometimes there is a bit of delay in getting responses to us (which our travel agent warned us about) Recently we selected our reception location (Blue Lagoon) and Loraine was very helpful in sending us all the info for the a la cartes, the dining options and even the music options when we asked. I'm finding the best way to deal with them is to write emails with very specific questions - Loraine was good enough to just reply right in the email directly to our inquiries.

I was wondering - are any of you brides staying at the resort with your guests? We are doing an all-inclusive for one week with all our guests at the GPJ, but we're wondering if anyone know if we can have the wedding at the GPLH as I know the properties are connected. I found this info really confusing...

Thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
