Hi Ladies,

I was just browsing the forums and getting super excited. Just checking in on all of the Beaches Negril Brides and seeing how planning is going. Also, those that just returned, can you give us some little teasers on how things were to keep us going! Happy planning :)

Hello - I am a Beaches Negril bride also.  Originally booked for April 2013 and we ran into a problem with our contract.  Had to change our date to June 2013 to ensure the resort had availability.

Hi girls!  So we just put the deposit down to have our wedding at Beaches Negril on April 22nd @ 5:30pm, I'm excited, but overwhelmed!!! My WC is Chloe, anybody else have her?  I am setting up my time to speak with her tomrw, I feel like I need to make a long list of my gazillion questions.  What are most of you doing for the reception option? How many average guests? Anybody look into the photography options they offer?  I have seen and read some reviews concerning their photography and that is my biggest concern.  The pictures don't seem very professional to me and I know you can't bring in outside photographers, I'm in a little bit of a panic about that!  Has anyone been to the resort before?
Since I am always a paying guest at the resort spending 3 nights I have never had a problem with couples paying fees. Ask your coordinator if your friend who is a guest a their resort can take your photos and opt out of sandals photographer. Once the resort photographer (at iberostar) still photographed the ceremony that I was shooting! A little annoying but I guess they still paid for it in their package , told them they didn't want their photog, but they did the ceremony anyway!

I had my convo with Chloe about a month ago. Best advice is go through the forums and write down all of your questions. She will go through everything step by step and ask what you would like (reception, flowers, etc) so have all of that in mind. It took about 30 minutes, and I got to ask everything on my mind. She was really sweet and helpful and did not try to push anything. Once you are done, she will send you an iteminzed "bill" though nothing is set..it is just an idea. She also sends pics of the garden and beach. Once we decide on the final things we want, I will email her the changes to the bill. It was very nice and stress-free. She makes you feel at ease so don't worry; it will be great! After the call, I was even more excited!! :) Good Luck

Hello Ms. Savy Bride - I had my planning call with Chloe in July.  She addressed all the items on the wedding planning sheet.  I was able to ask questions and of course I thought of tons of questions after the call.  I just sent them to my TA and she emailed them to Chloe.  My call took about 30 minutes.

We are doing the 3 hr private reception and getting a DJ for the reception and contemplating getting the Steel Drum Band for the cocktail hour, but it is so pricey! We keep going back and forth on this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
