Hi!!! Where on Long Island do you live?  My fiance and I just put the deposit down for our wedding at Beaches Negril, and I have been reading these threads and noticed you are from Long Island, too funny!  My consultant is Chloe as well, I am calling tomrw to schedule an appointment to speak to her.  How many guests are you having? I'm thinking of doing the Beautiful Beginnings as well, but I'd prefer all the flowers to be white, I'm hoping thats possible.  What reception option are you choosing?  I'm so overwhelmed!  Any tips from any of you girls will be much appreciated!

Hi girls!  So we just put the deposit down to have our wedding at Beaches Negril on April 22nd @ 5:30pm, I'm excited, but overwhelmed!!! My WC is Chloe, anybody else have her?  I am setting up my time to speak with her tomrw, I feel like I need to make a long list of my gazillion questions.  What are most of you doing for the reception option? How many average guests? Anybody look into the photography options they offer?  I have seen and read some reviews concerning their photography and that is my biggest concern.  The pictures don't seem very professional to me and I know you can't bring in outside photographers, I'm in a little bit of a panic about that!  Has anyone been to the resort before?

Hi Beaches Negril Brides! I just got updated pricing from my travel agent and wow I am not happy. Beaches went up and is now almost $500 more than Sandals Negril and Beaches Sandy Bay. The few people who are attending are simply NOT going to pay an extra $500! I wouldn't if I was attending. Have you all been ok with the pricing or were you surprised too? The one major issue I am facing is my dad has stepchildren and wants them to attend the wedding but my fiance and I want all adult. If Sandals date is open, we will probably switch the wedding to there but I am torn. I hate to disappoint him but he doesn't understand. :( Any suggestions girls?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am getting married at Sandals Negril. My brother and his fiancee (who is my bridesmaid) have a 2 year old that they have to bring with them, and none of our other guests are bringing children. We wanted to be at an adults only resort since this will be our honeymoon as well, and didn't want to have to deal with other people's children during our vacation. What we found out is that we can visit the Beaches whenever we want, which is where my brother and his family are going to stay, so we will go there to visit and have some meals. We got the ok from Sandals to allow them, with their child, to come to the wedding and reception at Sandals, so everything is working out that way. And they are allowed to come to Sandals whenever they want if they do not have their son, so his fiancee will probably come over early on the day of the wedding to get ready with me and the rest of the bridesmaids. Hope this helps!

Hi ladies.  I am just now coming across your thread as I am researching Beaches for a destination wedding.  We are looking for 4/2013, and are told we need to put down are deposit to secure this date now.  The problem is, we are told by our travel agent that we can not get any infromation on our wedding and prices until we reserve our room and wedding, basic package.  We are probably goign to have around 70-80 guests in attendance, including a few children.  From reading your comments it seems like the cost of it all will be more than expected.  Everything is extra??  We have no clue what to expect on price.  Are we allowed to bring outside photographers for the wedding and reception, from Negril, without having to pay for them to be on the resort?  Do you think Beaches will end up being more expensive than many other weddings in Negril.  We are not very picky on where we have it.  We just want a Negril wedding, near the beach, with good service and a nice wedding.  It's sounding like Beaches is more commercial and going to nickel and dime everything they can.  Any suggestions?  Any pricing info to share?  Don't want to book until we know what to expect.  Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
