well thats good, as long as its informative and they listen to what we're saying and not just trying to sell us things, i'm looking forward to it.  of course, thats whenever it gets scheduled, since tina is still not getting back to us with possible times and days she can do it.  its been almost two weeks now!

We just emailed her again last night, so if we don't hear back within the next few days I'll try calling. Honestly at this point we haven't done much in terms of planning. We created our guest list, and have slowly been telling people about it, but have not sent anything official out. And we decided that we like the BB package, but that is all! I do feel like we need to step it up soon:)

Yeah. They say that they will reply within 48 hrs. I ordered my save the dates and my dress that's about it on my end. Right now I'm stressing out on who should be bridesmaides. I already told my moh. I originally liked seaside serenade but it's crazy the price for the tables.

Oh, we ordered our save the dates too.  I agree, the prices per table with the other packages are bad! If they weren't so high, I think we might have gone with chic and natural. As for the bridesmaid thing, I hear you! I'm going to have my one sister and my best friend, but my FI wants me to have his sister as well. I don't though, as we aren't really close, and she lives two hours away. And, I'm not telling my FI that he needs to put my brother in his wedding party. So we'll see who wins that battle!  I also feel like since its not a traditional wedding and we won't have as many guests, I do'nt want to have that big of a wedding party. I think next week I'll begin the wedding dress search.

  • 2 weeks later...

We just had our first call yesterday, it went fine, but Tina definitely kept trying to get us to buy upgrades since we are doing the BB package.  I went dress shopping this past weekend, and think I found my dress, but since it was my first time, I am going to go to a few more stores just in case. We finalized our attendant list, and I decided to go with my brother's fiancee over my soon to be hubby's sister, which he was totally fine with and agreed that it made more sense.  We saw his sister this past weekend, and she actually said that she was glad she wasn't asked, as they plan to begin trying for a baby soon, and so she doesn't want to have to deal with being pregnant and finding the right size dress, etc.  So it all worked out in the end!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
