Sandals Negril Weddings

I am getting married at Sandals Negril on April 21, 2012 at 4pm.  So far we are doing the Flutter of Romance package with the ceromony on the beach.  We did book the on site photographer and are only doing the 30 minute reception...but I am considering extending it. Any suggestions??

We are planning on marrying at Sandals Negril in November 2012. I'm so glad I found this thread can't wait to read all about your experiences! We are having a private wedding probably just the 2 of us possibly another couple but we really want a nice private ceremony and we will have a reception when we get back with all the pics and experience we had! My only concerns is how well the hair and make-up and photos turn out! I would just like any recommendations on a photographer and one that has nice ideas for special poses! I will keep watching this thread to see any pics and reviews from others who get married there!

Hi Ladies,

I know most of you have already had your wedding by now and I'm hoping you might have some advice....We are getting married at Sandals Negril in April 12, 2013. I am finding a lot of hidden costs....any advice or suggestions would be greatly apprciated.

We would like to get married on the beach.

Thinking about having the reception just for the wedding party and parents. Then have the private 2 hours dinner.  Pay for 1 hour DJ and 1 hour steel drum band.

I really just don't understand how it all works and the coordinator is very hard to get answers from.

Thanks in advance :)

I just got married at Sandals Negril on April 21st and they did an absolute FABULOUS job!!!!! I can message you pictures if you want.  Duwayne was our wedding captain and Charmaine was the wedding co-ordinator.  We did the Flutter of Romance theme and got married on the beach.  We did a 1-hour cocktail reception with a DJ and I used the photographer from Sandals and also had my hair and make-up done onsite.  Our only issue was the rehersal dinner, the servers were extremly rude and half my guest never got their food.  I complained to the wedding captain and they were all over it, apologized and handled.

Congratulations! I am so happy that you had an amazing experience. I would love to see pictures. Would you mind messaging them to me? I can not wait to hear more.  How did you find the Wedding Planners before you arrived? Did you by chance sign a rooms contract? Sorry for all the questions. It is just amazing to have someone that's been there.

We are thinking about doing the beach wedding and then have the private reception and dinner.  Did you do the reception on the beach as well? We would like to have a steel drum band for the reception and the DJ for after dinner. How did you find the food and cake?

Thank you so much for writing back to me :)

Hi Brides I'm trying to decide on which Sandals Jamaican resort to use for my weddingmoon. It will be only my FH and I. I'd love a beach wedding, can anyone inform me on any hidden fees? Do you recommend booking the flight separate, will it be cheaper? If anyone has pics can you send them to me? Right now I'm thinking of the twilight wedding, has anyone done one, how were the pics? Can anyone tell me if they have used the web stream option and do you have to purchase the video package and Add this streaming video afterwards?

I am getting married at Sandals Negril in November. Could you send me some wedding pics from your wedding? I understand you have to use the Sandals photographer only and the packages are pricey so I would love to know how you felt the photographer and photos were? A few other questions..We are staying at the Grand Lux beachfront rooms, do they give you a special Honeymoon room the night of your wedding or no? Was there a lot mire hidden costs that surprised you or was it pretty much what they quoted you?

I see that you photographed a wedding at Sandals Negril. I thought outside vendors are prohibited?? How did you get around this as I'd like to bring my own photographer as well because their photo packages are outrageous!
In my experience, I always stay at the resort for 3 nights some am a guest and have never had a problem with couples paying fees

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
