Congratulations everyone!!!

Jamaicabride11-So glad you posted some things about your Sandals wedding! We are getting married at Beaches Negril on July 16,2012. Im so excited but super overwhelmed with the wedding planners from Miami. They really want you to decide on everything! GEEZ! I saw you went with the Beautiful Beginnings package, we are probably doing the same. What was the China like? They say its just the resort China but no one is able to give me a better picture. China isnt a huge deal for me, just curious.

I think I may want to upgrade to the arch as well. I guess I will know better when I check all the prices out.  DId you add any readings to the ceremony? The candles are an awesome thing to add, I like the idea!!  I also would like to do the steeldrum band for cocktail and a DJ for dinner, did you do these too?

So did you do the 3 hour reception? And through that you had a 1 hour cocktail hour in the garden and 2 hour reception on the beach? I would think it all had to be done in one place! Also, totally random question, but did the wedding officiant stay for the reception? I'm trying to decide if I need to include a spot for him/her at the tables. And do you know if it is possible to get a sweetheart table just for us, and then have our wedding party with the rest of the guests?

Hey Ladies, sorry I have been MIA! I got married July 22nd at Sandals Negril and it was wonderful!!! I know y'all want all the details so here goes. 1. I had 38 guest attend the wedding all my guest stayed at sandals and beaches Sandy Bay. Since I booked 10 rooms I was given a free private welcome dinner. For my welcome dinner we did an all white party. I choose pork chops n shrimp Alfredo for the menu. It was definitely a plus. Gave all guest time to get aquianted. It lasted for about 2 hours. The servers where great. Everyone ordered drinks from the bars and there was wine also! 2. wedding day. I got married at 4pm in the gardens gazebo. I originally planned for the ocean view but it was way to small at max it fits 25 (in case you were wondering). I purchased two flowers to hang on gazebo for 350. The served the purpose! Lol! I brought two bags of decorations along with my own sand ceremony cases. I did have to pay the 250 set up fee! The wedding was beautiful although it did begin to rain soon as I hot under the gazebo. They have all my guest umbrellas and the wedding went on as if it was sunshine. The rain did help it stay cool. Because on a normal day at 4pm it is still HOT HOT HOT!!! So if you are getting married during this time of year I recommend either a morning ceremony or the 5:30!!! 3. Reception- I opted for a 2 hour cocktail hour with a dj for 2 hours which was great. We ate in about 30 minutes and danced the night away! Due to the rain abs sine other issues the reception dud not start til about 630! So for the price I paid I was happy! 4. Hair I used the spa. Turned out great. Ask for Monique. Makeup I used Rashel Edwards my makeup was flawless. Airbrush is the say to go. .my makeup didn't sweat off at all!!! 5. I Did do welcome bags and my guest loved them. 6. I choose the BB package and made it my own. 7. Photography- I brought my own n she stayed at resort. 8. If you want to see pics you can find me on Facebook Christiana Guthrie just send me a request and let me know you are from this page. Enough for now feel free to ask questions!! Good luck planning!

We just returned from from our stay at Sandals Negril , we had our wedding at Beaches Negril.  Andrea, the wedding coordinator from Sandals, met with us and welcomed us to Sandals and attended our wedding at Beaches.  She was super nice and I saw three weddings while at Sandals.  We stayed in the swim up lagoons with butler service and DEFINITELY reccomend it to anyone.  My only complaint is it is at the endge of the property and the property next door has two guard dogs that bark VERY LOUD, and probably once or twice a day.  Not too bad.  DON"T forget to bring BUG SPRAY especially on your ankles and legs.

Don't worry about anything else---they will take care of you once you arrive!

I stayed at Sandals Negril in 2008 for a wedding.  It was great!  I loved the rooms (I don't remember the name but we were in the buildings set to the back next to the swim-up rooms... they are like 4 little houses with 4 rooms each, 2 on each level).  From the map it looks like they are right against the road but we heard no traffic noise.

I love the 4Cs restaurant the most.  Delicious pasta!

I'm sure a lot has changed since 2008 so I won't say much more other than wherever you go in Negril you will love it.  It's my favorite vacation spot!

At this point, we think we are going to use the resort photographer and buy the smallest package, then encourage friends to take as many pictures as possible and set up a photo sharing account where everybody can dump their pictures into and share them when we get home.

@CBrewster (or anyone that married at Sandals Negril). First, CONGRATULATIONS!  I have 20 rooms (40 people) reserved with the Beautiful Beginnings wedding. I get a rehearsal dinner and a 30 min cocktail/hors devours after the wedding. If I want a dinner reception after the wedding, they want to charge $60/per person, which seems ridiculous since all I want is for the wedding guests to sit together (at an all inclusive, a set up fee seems more appropriate).

Did you extend your cocktail hour and what did they charge you?

Did you have a dinner reception?
Was the beach wedding large enough for 40+ guests? One post in this site said no - but Sandals says yes.

Is there anything special the group should do at the resort?

What are some fun items you put in the bags?

Looking forward to hearing from all you beautiful brides!

Thank you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
