Gown Size Question?

Recommended Posts

K so I'm sure I've asked this before but what size do I want to order again?

If I am a small size 4 (sometimes a size 2) than would I order a size 8? that doesnt sound right to me.

Heres the reason it doesnt seem right. Any extra weight I do carry is in my thigh area (yup thats me thunder thighs) so usually when I have been in a bridal party or event I am a size 2 in dress. becuase the tight part of a dress is usually more on the upper body where I have absolutly nothing straight waiste no chest no boobs just a small upper body in general. Kind of boyish looking.

Any one with this body type or suggestions

That is actually about right. I am a pretty standard size 4 regularly, and the dresses that have fit me ranged from 8 to 12. It made me feel fat, but that is the way they run. I think you should be able to supply your measurements though and they will order a size based on that. I have pretty big hips for a 4, so sometimes I couldn't even get the 8's on! But then sometimes the 10 and 12's were swimming on me. Weird. Did you decide to order online?

It's easier for them to fix it by making it smaller then bigger...

I probably will unless something absolutly wows me in a store. I just dont have any time off (work Monday through Saturdays) to actually go gown shopping. So I will take one day off to gown shop and if "my" gown isnt out there that day than online it is!

In, not at the waist but the tops of my straps.

The hem, they said the hem is always long.

Always get bigger rathe than smaller, even if you are thinkging you will be a smaller size by then... okay you don't need to lose a thing... You know what I mean, easier to take in that let out, only so much to work with there.

I bought my gown online yesterday, I should get it Saturday, so I will let you know if it works out well. The seller seemed pretty good, she had all good responses... You can check her website at Designer Wedding Gowns Bridal Dresses at Discount Prices. Fast Delivery Worldwide...GownsNOW.Com or her ebay store is called gowns_now( 172Click the image to open in full size.). But I will DEF post when my gown comes in to let you know. It is supposed to be an authentic gown, not a rip off, so we'll see..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
