Weight Watchers for 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

I usually try to be really good Sunday- lunchtime Friday and then do what I want for the weekend. It may not be the best strategy, but it works for me. Good luck!

I am an April 2012 bride who has just joined weight watchers a week ago.  I would like to loose 10-15 pounds and so far getting use to logging my food etc.  I typically don't eat bad, however; I love my beer.  Any do and don'ts would be great as I'm very very new to WW.

thanks ladies, and good luck with reaching your goals.

I've been doing that as well.  For me the workweek is easier to be disciplined than the weekend.  FI will eat anything damn near and with his schedule being so crazy he's willing to try anything.  I have never been a big meat eater so I'm in love with any type of fish, seafood dishes and most of my recipes are that.  I need to add some variety for him and just ordered the weight watcher cook book.  I also have rachel ray's 30 minute or less book.....  I made cajun catfish (baked), brown rice and grilled asparagus.

That cajun catfish meal sounds good!!! Before we were engaged we did "Meatless Mondays" and those worked for us. It was so hard preparing for all veggie meals and we even had a disastrous vegan meal experience, but we lost weight. I just made WW chicken parmesan last night, and it was a winner.

So ladies, what are some of your "go-to" Weight Watcher meals?

I've been getting a lot of good ideas and recipes from www.skinnytaste.com

Some of my favorites are:

Chicken Burgers (4 points), a scoop of pasta sauce (1 point), a slice of italian mix cheese (1 point) and a whole wheat/light bun (1 point) = 7 point chicken parm sandwich

Mahi Mahi Burgers (4 points), a scoop of peach/mango salsa (1 point) and a bun (1 point) = 6 point mahi mahi burger

Sweet potato (5 points), drizzle of olive oil (1 point), pinch of nutmeg/cinnamon/salt = 6 point sweet potato fries

Haha, do not even get me started! Her recipes are the best! She sent one out today for grilled pineapple which my fiancee and I have been grilling every weekend! LOL.

And we are almost wedding day buddies! I'm April 20th at The Royal Playa del Carmen!

Love love love.... grilled pineapples (I got the email today as well).  I do them every year but soak them in brandy and honey.  Don't know how many WW points that would be though LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
