Weight Watchers for 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

So glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling. Ya..a few years ago I went on the old WW's program and lost 25lbs in one summer!! and i didn't step foot in the gym once! All i did was walk for 90min 3-4times a week. Granted I'm a bit older now but I still don't think it should be taking this long. 6lb loss in 5 weeks is ridiculous!!
I'm still trying to decide if its the new program thats the problem or if its just me. I hate to even think about the thought that my body is resistant to dieting now. Does that mean I have to essentially starve myself to even lose 2lbs!?!?!

I'm looking to turn to a nutritionist to see what they say about it - I just don't know where to turn to right now :(

So, I had my weigh-in this morning and I was down 0.9lbs, for 16.2lbs total! That's the biggest loss I've had in a while, and this was such an "off" week for me - no workouts or anything.

Wow - awesome job!

I'm about halfway to my ultimate goal (16lbs lost, would like to lose about 14-15 more) but December has been a super struggle for me with my weight loss journey. I've been stress eating (had a death in the family), drinking like a fish, not tracking my food and certainly not working out like I should. I just keep telling myself "but my wedding is 4 months away still" - I need to stop using that as an excuse. Big attitude change for me starting today!

Sorry to hear about your loss!! December is a tough month in general with all these holiday gatherings which include lots of food & drinks. I went to one last night and had a lot to drink but I also made sure to work out extra hard in the morning and I had saved up all of my weekly points. I'm beginning to learn that 1 "bad" meal or day does not ruin you...it's all about moderation and realizing that we do not have to be perfect.

I want to lose another 17lbs before the wedding and then reassess what my final goal will be! 14-15lbs should totally be doable in 4 months....about a lb a week...but would require you to be focused...similar to my goal....ahhhh GOOD LUCK!!

Hi ladies,

I am getting married in less than 4 months! Ive been growing in the past year but even more since buying/gutting a house for 2 months! Mid January I started WW and have lost 9.6 pounds. At first it was coming off quick, but its slowed down. When you strt working out more as most of you have, sometimes you dont eat enough! if your burning major calories and not eating enough your metabolisim will stall and go into storage mode.

For all you with little losses..Im sure your measurements have gone down..and a loss is a loss! Im thinking tomorrow may be my first gain after February vacation.....

The countdown is on, my dress should be in soon, and I really need to break up with wine. Its just so hard (as I have a glass next to me now). Drinking and engagement and now wedding countdown just go hand in hand....

Im psyched to have found this thread....smile72.gif

Thanks

WW (which I lovingly refer to as dub dubs) has helped me so far as long as I track!  I have 15lbs to go and my wedding is in September so it's totally doable!  I just need to keep tracking, working out and staying healthy!  I hope when my dress arrived in April or May it's way too big!  That wouldn't be a bad problem to have since I need to get it altered anyways, right!?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
