Hi

My name  is Wendy and would like to ask if someone of you girls want to help the charity work I'm doing.

I might be interested in purchasing your trashed dress as is, no cleaning or repairs required!

I try to restore the dresses used in a trash the dress shoot back to good condition.

I donate these dresses after restoring to people in need.

They can't afford to buy a dress for their wedding and I like to help them.

I like to work with clothes and it's a joy for me to donate the dresses when they are back in good shape.

You can't imagine how happy these people are when they receive a dress for their wedding.

I can pay a small fee for the dress + shipping.

Donations are of course much appreciated!

My e-mail to contact me is herwyn.w@skynet.be

I hope that someone wants to help.

Thank you

Thanks for the feedback, ladies. My fiance and I decided to go ahead with a TTD session. I don't plan to spend that much on a wedding dress, so if it can be saved that'll be great. But if it's trashed, well I'll still keep it and all the stains!

You are so brave!  Lol!  That is great that it worked!

Give it a good rinse in water as soon as you get out of the ocean though.  Dont want to leave all that salt sitting in your clothes.

Rhodes Hall Plantation, near Negril, has horse stables and is known for its horseback riding actitivies...see link below. For the TTD, you should also ask your photographer (if you've selected one)...they usually know good places to go.

Thanks for this! I will definitely look into it!  Really excited about the idea of doing some photos on horseback!

Our photographers are coming with us from Canada, so they aren't familiar with all of the key areas! That's why I'm doing some of the research up front! We're going to hire a local driver who should know some areas, but don't want to leave everything until the day of!

Thanks again!

  • 3 weeks later...

oh, i never thought about packing a wet dress... I am doing my TTD the day before we leave as well.  Hmm.... but I am definitely doing it.  I think so far it is the thing I am most excited for!  People here think I am crazy, but all the pictures look so cool it is worth ruining my cheap $250 dress!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
