Awesome spreadsheet!!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit but after finding out that we're pregnant my life has been consumed with prepping for the baby. Now back to wedding planning!

As for the ceremony locations the WC told me that since they only do 3 a day and never at the same time there wouldn't be a situation where they're double booked. The reception locations are first come first serve so I guess whoever put their request in first gets in unless they consider 1st come to be whoever gets to the resort first.

I'm also going with the free package and adding everything we want. When I ran the numbers it came out way cheaper than doing one of the bigger packages. We're also using the hotel photographer who seems great. He said in short that he'll shoot for as long as we want and then we just pay for whatever pictures or packages we want after. I like this concept versus those that require we pay for a set amount of hours ahead of time.

Booked Pastor Rick and are excited to have him on our special day. The hotel doesn't charge him a guest fee since he's only there for a short time and they work together somuch.

For my flowers I'm still looking at getting them done from an outside vendor who will deliver them to the hotel the day of. I sent pictures of what I'mt hinking of and she seemed more than willing to work with us.

I need to figure out music for the ceremony however. We are booking the trio for cocktail hour but we'llneed something during the ceremony. I'm ok with a cd but need to find out if they'l have a system set up down there.

Happy planning!

Hi spaterson. Congrats on the new baby news. That's awesome! We are doing the free package and adding additions as well. Based on the wicked speadsheet the price was much better. Who is doing your flowers ?? Are they better priced than the resort? I am also stuck about ceremony music. I would like to find out if the live musicians are good!!

There are a few of us brides active on the Jellyfish thread who are staying at DPB but having either the whole thing or just the reception at the Jellyfish.  Not sure if that helps...

Ladies,

My sister is getting married in November 2012 at DBP and doing a symbolic ceremony. Anybody have an idea how that will go? As i understand, the WC is the one conducting this; they didn't go with a priest or pastor. Is anyone doing the same? What is the plan for the ceremony? if you don't mind sharing. Thanks!

Hello Brides!!!

Our wedding date is set for September 2012 and we haven't really finalized anything yet but hoping to finalize stuff with our WC soon. I was wondering, waht brides are doing for flowers...I find they are super expensive at the resort, did anyone come across a local florist?

So excited!!!!

Hi,

Can you please tell me which vendor you found? I've been looking into Floristeria El Franco, but they don't seem to respond to me. Your help would be greatly appreciated:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
