Dreams Palm Beach Brides 2012 - w/pics

Ahealey,

Have you put a down payment on you wedding package yet? I have paid $100 to hold my wedding date and I got a receipt from them saying that, but I thought I also had to put a $500 payment on the wedding package ( especially since I picked out the Dreams of Love Wedding package and I thought the Dreams of Love and the Ultimate Wedding package required a larger down payment.) Also I asked the exact same question about the reception location and got the exact same response. I am still a little worried because I know they can perform up to 3 weddings a day and what if two people want the same location?

Hey,

Congrats!  And we are wedding day twins!

Finally I found the other person who will be having their wedding the same day.  The WC had mentioned there was another wedding on my date but that I had booked the date first.

What time is your ceremony scheduled for?

Did you book any outside vendors?

Also, I love the look of those paper lantern hanging, does anyone know what the stipulations are as far as decor??

Hi - yeah i put a $100 downpayment on the wedding package..that is the only downpayment they have asked for. I have never read anything about a $500 deposit for anything else though.....

I am worried about the reception location too.....we need somewhere inside because we have some elderly guests coming and they don't like the heat too much....lol.
I guess it is a first come first serve for reception locations???  I have only read great reviews about DPB weddings though so I am trying to have faith!

Hope this answers some questions:

Deposit $100.00 to hold your wedding date

ALL the details to be sorted out when you get to the resort and meet with the WC. From what I have found is, any planning with the WC beforehand is pointless. First come first served with reception locations and ceremony. Seems like most people want the poolside area....and there are 3 or 4 inside venues so don't worry about the indoor reception.

As long as you have your date reserved you should be fine. I did all my stressing already, and learned that there is no point. Everything will work out when you get there. Destination weddings should be relaxed, so just let it be.

Just make sure you have your flight/hotel reservations in check. I am booked with Sunwing and it's all inclusive. 30 guests booked so far.

Thanks!

Anyone interested in a "Custom Made Wedding Website" ... let me know.  I made one for myself and then started to make them for other brides that are having destination weddings. :)   The website could be similar to this http://WWW.DEVONANDTABBY.COM or anyway you like.  I am very flexible and can really create anything you want.     I started this for myself because I HATED the wedding websites that were out on the market and especially the free ones and just made my own...    You can create your own:   Pages Pick your own Music or Play List Have tons of pages Pick from tons of colors, patterns, looks etc... basically WHATEVER YOU ENVISION! :) Endless albums Any design you want on any page Basically ... your wish is my command! YAY! Prices are from $199 - $499 depending on how many changes and pictures etc.... :)   Let me know ...   tsanjideh@gmail.com

Hi ladies,

I am a new DPB Bride!

My date is June 30, 2012. I did a spreadsheet that compares the various DBP wedding packages, and you can play with stuff like the number of guests, the type of dinner/cocktail hour (silver, gold, platinum), etc. to see what works best for you. I'd recommend downloading a copy and working with it in excel so that the buttons work. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4kazYb7m2VYYTdiNTYwOTctNTAxMi00NWI1LWJiMzMtZGJhYmJmM2U5NDE4

I feel pretty overwhelmed by the whole process bc of course I want it to be perfect.

Also, does anyone feel comfortable disclosing the room cost your group is receiving? I want to see if what is being offered to my guests is competitive. They have been quoted for three nights, assuming two adults, in the regular (not preferred club room) about $499/per person. My travel agent will price match, but I want to know what the best rate out there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
