Dreams Palm Beach Brides 2012 - w/pics

Recommended Posts

Hah! That's the photoshoot from the photos on their official Dreams site. Cute.

Still waiting on my confirmation.. Mercy did reply with a "Thanks!" the next day... thats it... oh well, I'm trying not to stress because it's still 403 days away (I have a countdown widget on my phone... I'm not obessed... not really.. ) and I have plenty of time to humm and haw over things, but obviously I can't put deposits down on other stuff until I know this is final. I did confirm with Pastor York already since he requires no deposit, and he already had a 4pm ceremony for 6/15/12 (my day)! He is gracious enough to do mine at 5pm but wow, people are getting started early!

I just received my official confirmation! 06/15/2012 at 5:00pm :) My CC was charged 3795.00 dominican pesos.. which accounts for the 32 cents. hehe :)

To those wondering -- it took 8 days from when I submitted my paperwork (request form, cc auth form, copies of ID, cc, etc.) to when I got my confirmation e-mail. Mercy has been replying to all my e-mails but on my confirmation it says Awilda will be my coordinator. I am assuming that will change 4 or 5 times by the time my actual wedding day gets here though :) That's ok, I'm going into this wedding with the idea that DPB will take care of me when I get there. I've booked Pastor York already, I'm going to book HDC Photo most likely, and then just chill! Not sure if I can afford a private reception and such so it's great that I don't need to make any decisions until I get down there. I can just save $$ and make all my decisions based on the amount I've saved when I get there. It really takes so much stress off funding this wedding ourselves to know I can tailor it to my budget when we arrive.

Hi Girls -

We finally sat down tonight and decided Dreams Palm Beach will be the location of our April 20, 2012 wedding!  I am going to submit our paperwork on Monday - it says everything must be scanned and email and some of the paperwork wants details that we haven't decided yet.  Did you girls have that all filled out or did you leave some of that paperwork blank?

Lot's of fun planning ahead -

I also got my confirmation!! YAY.That's a load off.

Make sure when you fill out the credit card authorization, that you put $100.00 for the deposit. I left that part blank the first time, and waited 2 weeks just for it to get noticed and then had to resubmit with the amount written in. So..it took a week for me to get the confirmation once it was filled out properly.

I filled everything out - but changes can always be made.

Pastor York can be reached through email. Here is his website http://www.easterndominican.com

The bonfire I found in the wedding package for Dreams PC, and it is not in the DPB package.  Sorry, I am wondering if they would be able to do it there also. Anyways it is $175

I was thinking about sending out my invitations as soon as we can get airfare rates in July and having them rsvp for like October that way I will know how many people are coming and which package I will choose.  How about everyone else??

Bonfire - $100 plus 15% service tax at Dreams Palm Beach

As soon as I get the all inclusive package rate I am also going to send out save the dates with the flight/hotel information and prices, which will be almost 11 months in advance of the actual departure. Then 3 or 4 months before the trip I will send out formal invites with the rsvp-by then all those who are coming would have already purchased their tickets. I am not too worried about how many people come, because most of the planning happens once you get to the resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
