Thanks  - Ill add that to my list of questions for the coordinator!

I think it all depends on personal preferences. I went in 3rd week of March to JA and it was too chilly for my liking. The wind was probably the most annoying part of my stay there. I'd take the heat any day over consistant chilly winds. To me vacation = heat + tan :o) I'd rather stay in the ocean or pool if its unbearable than cover up with a jacket or towel. I wouldnt worry too much about it being too hot.

We had to shower sometimes 2-3 times a day in May because we'd get sticky and sweaty fast if we spent time outside during the day. But a lot of people enjoy the May weather. My brother won't go down to the carribbeans unless its a constant 30+ cause otherwise it's not a real vacation for him. I prefer a 26-29 temperature which you'll get in the late/winter early/spring, and even on the nice days in the Winter.

I would ask your travel agent!  I wanted to do the Bahamas in January and she said it was a little too chilly!!   Hopefully they can help with your decision!!  A side note:  January ended up being REALLY expensive because it's a high travel month! :(

JA143 -- I believe you mentioned in another thread that you were planning on the Riu Negril?? if so, they do have a back-up location incase of rain. it's really nice actually. I believe I have a pic of that area too if you want. Just let me know. :)

Yes yes cute sun dresses and bathing suits! I think whatever date you choose that's not dead in the summer will be great :)

The one time we went in August, I think I didn't even get a little tan because being under the sun was just torture lol. If we were outside, we looked for any bit of shade available and just hid there until it was time to go back inside.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
